"I understand everything so much better now." one of their classmates says, Josephine glances over acknowledging the student, "Thanks a ton Josephine."
"No problem." she says, giving him a thumbs up.
"Let's go Kevin, we're going to be late!" two male students shout from the door. Kevin grabs his stuff and runs out. Leaving the Does the only students left.
"Everyone's well on their way home by now." John speaks up, as he stands bag over his shoulder. He glances over his shoulder, "We should be safe."
"Yeah, we can't keep Sera waiting." She follows John's example, they reach the classroom door as their teacher walks in.
"Mr. Doe, we need to talk about your grades," he says.
"I'll-"
"Nah, you just go home." John cuts her off, "Who else is going to cook?"
"You have a point there." she acknowledges, "Alright, just don't be too long. See you back home.'' She leaves the classroom and exits the school, standing outside the gates she glances over her shoulder. He'll be fine, there's not a single person here. She sighs and resumes her walk home. She stops at Woaba Boba.
"I know I'll buy him a reward." She smiles to herself and enters the store.
"Good afternoon miss." the clerk greets as she stops in front of her.
"Afternoon, how's your day been?" Josephine greets looking around.
"Good, thanks for asking." the clerk replies, Josephine faces her. The clerk's hair, dyed with multiple colours, tied back in a curly ponytail.
"That's some hair colour you've got. Looks good." Josephine compliments, "I could never pull off some many different colours."
"Awe thanks." the clerk smiles, "The red highlights you have really compliment your eyes."
"Thanks." Josephine says with a questioning look on her face, weird clerk.
"What would you like today?"
"I'd like a regular mango, and a regular strawberry."
"Is that everything for you?" the clerk asks.
"Actually, can I get one more regular mango?" she adds, can't forget about Sera.
"For sure." she types it into the machine, "That'll be $15.50, how would you like to pay?"
"Cash please." Josephine hands her a twenty dollar bill, "Keep the change."
"Thank you, your order will be ready shortly."
"Awesome." she says and glances out the window, her gaze locking on a red haired man standing with his back against the window. Hmm, that's not strange at all.
"Here you are Miss." the clerk alerts her.
"Oh um, thank you very much." she casts a sideways glance at the window, he's gone. But I still have an uneasy feeling something's going to happen.
"Miss?"
"Sorry, were you saying something?" Josephine questions.
"Would you like a drink tray?"
"Yes, that'd be very much appreciated." she agrees, the clerk hands her a tray. "Excuse me, but would it be possible I can leave through the back door?"
"I see no problem with it." the clerk replies and lifts up the cashier counter and steps aside allowing entry.
"Thank you very much."
