Kitty's POV

I got up excitedly and went to the kitchen—smiling. I am so excited for Gavin's surprises later on our date. He's not a sweet man, I shouldn't expect more from him. But since he's the one who wants a date, maybe he's got surprises on his sleeves.

"You woke up so early, Darling?" my mom who's toasting bread asked.

"Well... Gavin and I will go on a date. I'm excited for his surprises, Mom." I took the toasted bread from my mom's plate and took a bite.

"Is that so, Darling?" I nodded with a smile plastered on my lips. "Take care, okay?"

"Yes, Mom," I answered.

Mom handed me a cup of milk with a smile. She's like an angel sent from above, no wonder my father fell in love with her.

"Mom? Where's Dad?" Dad usually got up early to drink coffee with Mom, it's unusual not seeing him this early morning.

"I don't know what got into him, he stayed all night in his study. Maybe he's keeping himself busy because something's bothering him," my mom answered.

I think, it's all because of me...

"Why don't you bring him coffee or breakfast, Mom?"

"What about you? Are you okay having breakfast alone?"

"Yes, Mom. Just have breakfast with him in his study." Once again, Mom smiled at me and took a tray. I wish I could always see that smile.

"Bye, Darling. Good luck on your date."

As I continued having breakfast, I also texted Gavin.

Good morning, baby. How's your sleep?

Due to the excitement, hindi ako nakatulog nang maayos.

Gavin calling...

A smile immediately stretched on my lips. Hearing Gavin's voice this early is a music to my ears. I would love to hear his voice every morning to wake me up. "Hey, baby," he greeted.

"Hey."

"You okay going on a date without a nice sleep?" he asked with a raspy voice. So hot!

"Yope! And I can sleep in your car naman." He chuckled a bit after hearing what I said. May nakatatawa ba sa sinabi ko?

"You really love sleeping in my car," he commented. Maybe because I always feel so comfortable whenever he's around. I can sleep anywhere as long as he's with me.

"Nakakatulog naman ako lagi whenever you're around. You're my safe haven, Gav."

"You're making me so kilig early in the morning, baby." What the f-Gavin! "I know what you're thinking right now, Katniss. You think I'm gay." He chuckled afterwards.

"Because my man just said 'you're making me kilig early in the morning.' How am I supposed to react?" He laughed even more at what I said. What's so funny?

"My friends taught me that. They said, girlfriends will love their boyfriends even more if they talked like that." May gano'n bang kasabihan? May gano'n bang rule? Bakit parang hindi ko alam 'yan?
