A life at Hogwarts (Marauders Y/n)

*Last week of June*

Final exams finally were finished, you passed your apparition test last month, everything was perfect. Well besides the fact that all of your close friends won't look at you anymore. With the last few days of school classes weren't doing anything so all of your professors decided everyone needs fresh air. You held on tightly to your quill and parchment and stopped to see what spots were open. The marauders were sitting peacefully below the tree by the lake and Severus was sitting on the other side of the tree. It's been about a month since your fight with Severus...maybe he'll shrug it off and want to be just friends again. You shook off all of your nerves and began to walk down the hill but Yaz walked in front of you.

"Hey Y/n...Were you about to talk to Severus?" She looked over at Severus and shook her head slowly. "The guy called you Lily, besides," She leaned up to your ear, "I heard rumors he's a death eater." Without hesitation you grabbed her shoulder and knocked her down. Not looking back you ran down to Severus who noticed what happened and had a calm face but small pupils.

You pulled out your wand and pushed him against the tree, "Tell me the rumors are false! Tell me you didn't!"

"Y-Y/n calm down, put me down so we can talk." You motioned your head toward Severus's left arm. He hesitated but lifted up his sleeve revealing nothing. "See nothing to worry about." You then waved your hand over it and it stayed the same.

"Ok...that's good." He gave you a worried look that worsened when he looked behind you. "What's wr-"

"DRUID! You complete MONSTER!" You turned and that fourth year Hufflepuff was pointing his wand at you.

"Monster? THEY AREN'-"

"Severus I got this...look can you just leave me alone." He poked your shirt with his wand, his anger rising

"DID YOU FORGET YOU USED THE KNOCK BACK CHARM ON YAZ JUST NOW! WITHOUT A WAND!" Your heart stopped as you looked back and Yaz was being helped up by a few Hufflepuff's.

"I- I must've just pushed her too hard, it's impossible to use magic without a wand." You clenched your wand tightly.

"Oh really, well then let's test that. EXPELLIARMUS!" Your wand flew back and you saw it land in front of James. "Fight back Druid!" He knocked you down and you got up as this continued for a minute or so. "Are you deaf FIGHT BACK!"

"Enough! Just leave Y/n alone, they can't and won't fight back." You stood back up and leaned against Severus's back.

"Thank you..." You could hardly stand, it wasn't dark magic but...it drained you so easily.

"Weakened by a knockback jinx, pathetic. Oh I know how to get you to fight back." With a flash Severus was hanging by his ankle into the air. The fourth year just stared at you blankly, waiting.

You looked up at Severus and mumbled, "Put him down..."

"What was that, sorry I seem to have gone deaf."

You wanted to get your wand but James was holding it. Was he entertained by this or just terrified? "I said...PUT HIM DOWN!" The student dropped to the floor screaming in agony. You were frozen, what were you doing, is it the cruciatus curse. You looked over at the school and here came a few professors running. You tugged your hand away from the boys direction and put Severus down making sure to catch him.

"Y-y/n you actually..." He looked saddened as his voice trailed off to silence.

"Y/N DRUID! Headmaster's office now!" You looked at McGonagall's eyes frozen in fear as she took your wrist and dragged you off. Pomfrey and a few other professors stayed behind to tend to Yaz and the fourth year. Dumbledore's office never seemed so gloomy in all the times you entered there. He looked so tired when his blue eyes looked yours.
