You eventually were released a few weeks later and if the school wasn't scared or haven't hated you yet they do now. Severus did keep to his word and brought you your homework and even helped you out. The ministry did try very hard to get into the hospital wing but Dumbledore and any nearby staff pushed them away. You honestly wished you had James's cloak so you could just walk in the halls unnoticed. If only that could happen... Once you step a foot out of any classroom people either whisper monster while glaring at you or just jump and yelp at your presence.

"Y/n you can't stay in the classroom, come on." Severus gently touched your shoulder to guide you and you stared out the door before exiting the dark arts classroom.

"Severus they're whispering again...maybe it's best if I don't come back next year."

"Y/n if you drop out you'll have no chance of going into the country and helping injured or sick creatures. You've always dreamed of it, why blow it now?"

"I doubt Voldemort will let me...he'll probably kidnap me right as I leave Hogwarts." Severus hesitated and stayed quiet till you got to your transfiguration classroom.

"I'll see you after this class."

"Are you skipping class?" He clicked his tongue and sighed.

"I was but I guess I won't leave you alone...with your guardian. What do you even call McGonagall?"

"Professor here and just McGonagall if I'm home." You walked in and sat in the back as Severus followed.

"Hmm, oh no here comes tweedle dee and his girlfriend, tweedle dumb and his boyfriend and their awkward friend." You slowly rolled up a piece of parchment and smacked him across the head. "Kidding...Black and Lupin have not actually stated they're dating." You smacked him again and noticed his fist clench. Confused you looked up and patted Severus on the back as he watched James flirt with Lily. She didn't seem to like him but everyone knows they're dating.

"There Sev...Lily seems to only like people who don't call her a mudblood." Snape took the parchment from you and hit your hand.

"Are you on my side or not?! Uh oh Werewolf is walking over, I'll tell him to go sit far away again."

"Sev you don't have to." You went to tug him back down but he was already standing between you and Remus.

"Snape I like that you care and protect Y/n but I'm also their friend and would like to speak to them."

"Nope not happening, go sit with your boyfriend Were- I mean Lupin."

Remus went red, he was mad but also blushing, "Padfoot and I aren't dating and stop purposely almost saying that word. Can't I just speak to them ONCE!"

"No, your friends have joined the whispers saying Y/n's a monster so I'm not letting you near them." Remus sighed before pushing Snape back and pulling the chair from the table in front of you to sit across from you. Severus pulled his wand out but you glared at him causing him to put it away and sit next to you.

"Thank you, Y/n look I was coming over to offer to date in secret so they don't find out." He nodded behind him and you saw Sirius looking over but he looked away when you made eye contact.

"Remus, I literally ditched you without telling you. Oh and also as you can see I am a complete monster and anyone I love will most likely be in danger."

"You were forced to leave, you're not the monster I am and I haven't been put in danger yet." You looked away from him and ticked your jaw to the side.

"Remus, you were in danger! Voldemort sent the ministry that night to lock you up and if I get too close to you again it will happen once again." Remus leaned back and widened his eyes.
