The most arrogant Doctor

Risha POV
“He is the doctor attending me,” mum-mum replied with a smile. “Handsome, right?” mum-mum whispered and me being me denied that. “Hello. I am Dr. Alex Donovan,” the handsome hunk answered my previous question. “Risha Mishra,” I gave him a small smile which he return with a curt nod. Arrogant. Aren’t I too quick to judge him? Yeah whatever. He started checking mum-mum. “Looks like you are doing great,” he said to mum-mum sweetly. “Yeah she is definitely doing great cause I am here,” mum-mum chuckled hearing my answer.
“Ok mum-mum, I have to go back to the hospital. Take care. See you soon,” Mr. Donovan told mum-mum after a little while. We were talking before that well most likely me and Mr. Donovan bickering over every topic. He was a little jerk towards me and me as well giving him the same treatment.
But what caught me the most he called her mum-mum. How dare he, it’s only me who can call her mum-mum. “What did you addressed her?” I shouted at him. “Mum-mum,” he shrugged. “You can’t addressed her that only I can.” “Well you can’t tell what should I do or what not,” he arrogantly replied. “You…” I was going to argue but mum-mum stop me. “It’s ok, dear. What’s wrong with that? You both can call me mum-mum. You both are my child.” “No. I won’t share you with anyone,” I stubbornly argued. “Like I care.” That arrogant jerk. “Bye mum-mum. Love you,” with that he exited from the room.  
I don’t know why his attitude bother me that much. He talked with mum-mum like I didn’t even exist. But one thing I was glad that he was good towards mum-mum. If he wasn’t I would have killed him already. After he left mum-mum told a lot of things about him. Like how he taken care of mum-mum last 2 weeks. He was staying here with mum-mum when wasn’t. He became a son to her in the last couple of weeks. But that doesn’t mean he can be a jerk towards me. I was jealous of him. Why mum-mum like him that much. I know mum-mum loves me also but still I am jealous.
Mum-mum and I were sitting in the garden. Then I told her about my internship at St Thomas’. She was happy for me. And more happy cause I am going to stay here with her.
In the evening, mum-mum and I were having our quality time. We were watching dramas, having a lots of fun then that jerk return from hospital. “Good evening, mum-mum,” he only greeted mum-mum. “I am here also.” “Ops… Sorry I didn’t notice,” he coldly replied. Shit did I say that loud! “That proves you don’t have eyes to see beautiful things,” I replied while smirking. “Good jokes. Hahaha…” he joked. That jerk. I was going to reply but he was long gone.
Mr. Jerk, my nickname for Alex, was returned drawing room after freshen up. “How was your day?” mum-mum asked him. “Not too bad, not too good and a little bit tiring.” “You know Alex, Ria is an intern of St Thomas’. She is going to work there from tomorrow. You can take her there.” “Mum-mum there’s no need I can go there by myself. I don’t need baby sitter.” “I also don’t baby sit. That’s my destination anyway so I will take her there. You don’t have to worry, mum-mum.”
Wait what he said. He is a doctor of St Thomas’s. “You work there?” I was shocked. “You have any problem with that?” couldn’t he give a simple answer? “There isn’t any problem that I can’t solve,” I replied the same tone as his. “We’ll see.” “Yeah will see,” I told him confidently.
Mum-mum was watching was us while we were bickering. She was smiling. Why is she smiling watching us like that! I’ll ask her later. “Dinner is ready,” Bella informed us. “We’ll be at dining in 2 minutes, Bella,” mum-mum ensured her. “Let’s go for dinner. You two can continue your gossips there,” mum-mum told us half-jokingly half seriously. “We aren’t gossiping,” we told her unison. “Yeah more like fighting,” mum-mum replied.
We went at the dining. Mum-mum sat in the head chair and we sat beside her facing each other. Bella served us food. “It both yours and Alex’s favorite,” mum-mum told us. I am really jealous of Alex. Why mum-mum arrange his favorite food also. We finished our dinner silently. Well I was silent, didn’t want to start a fight with Alex again. Mum-mum and Alex was talking the whole time.
“Risha, Baby are you Ok? You were unbelievably silent the whole dinner. What happened dear?” mum-mum asked while we were in her room. I was going to sleep with her, not wanting to leave her alone. “Yes mum-mum I am ok. I just didn’t want to start a fight against Alex while eating,” I told her the truth.
“Baby, Alex is a good boy. I think you should be a little more flexible with him,” why is mum-mum defending him. Couldn’t she see he was the one who was jerk! “Mum-mum, I think he is the one who should be more flexible towards me.” She didn’t replied just smiled. Why is she smiling now!
“Mum-mum, why are you smiling? I saw you before while we were fighting, you were smiling then also. Why so?” “Aww it’s noting, baby. It’s just you both looked cute while fighting.” “Mum-mum you are overthinking. Now enough with this fighting thing, you should take your medicine.” “Can’t I just skip the medicine part?” mum-mum whining. “No, you can’t. Now take this,” I gave mum-mum her medicine. She took those while complying like a child.
Mum-mum was going to read novels for me like old time. But I stopped her. “Mum-mum now it’s my turn. From now on I am going to read it for you.” “You are treating me like a child,” she whined. “Well aren’t you one,” she just smiled hearing my answer.
After a little while mum-mum fall asleep. I closed the book and put it on the night-stand. I kissed mum-mum’s forehead and wished her good night. She was really tired. She did a lot for me now it’s my turn. Then I went to sleep beside her. Tomorrow will be a new start and let’s hope for the best.
