His Birthday

Risha POV
1 month later…
It’s been one month since I asked Alex to be my boyfriend. He was such nervous so I asked him before. That day when mum-mum left Alex was freaked out.
“Rish, mum-mum will hate me after this, right?” Alex asked me. I was also nervous but I had to comfort him.
“Alex, we will face it together, ok? Let’s go,” I told him.
Well that day mum-mum really was frightened us. She was angry with us because we didn’t tell her before. But she was happy for us. And Alex face was priceless. I laughed a lot after that seeing his reaction.
Alex was such a sweetheart. He was the boyfriend that any girl could asked for. He was always there for me. I felt lucky to have him. The past month was bless for me.
Next week Alex birthday and I want to make his birthday special. So I planned a surprise for him. Recently he was busy with a lot of surgery. So I get some time for making plan.
“Hey girlfriend, you left alone again,” Alex complained with a pout. I was home early, I had a half-day today. And there he is complaining about it.
“What to do boyfriend your dean likes me more, so he gave me an early leave. I can’t help you know,” I shrugged. Mum-mum was in her room. He came and hugged me. Yeah only hug, we didn’t kiss yet. We are taking things slowly.
“Mum-mum already ate. I was waiting for you. Mum-mum also wanted to wait but you know me,” I winked. “Go, have a shower and come back fast,” I added.
Alex came back after a quick shower. “Well you are quick,” I told him while we went to the dining.
“I can’t my keep my girlfriend hungry for a long time, can I?” he winked me. We finished our dinner while flirting with each other. After finishing our dinner we went to watch some movies.
“What do you want to watch today?” Alex asked me. “Let’s watch ‘star trek’,” I told him and he played it on monitor.  We started watching the movie. At middle of the movie he tried to eat my share of ice cream.
“Hey it’s my ice cream,” I complained. “But I am your boyfriend. We can share, you know,” he whined.
“But I won’t share my ice cream, you know.” He pouted when I told that. Then I kept my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his hand around me. And we turned to attention to the movie. After finished the movie we bid our good byes and went sleep.

Now it’s 12.00 am. Alex’s birthday. I was standing with a cake in front of his bed with mum-mum.
“Alex,” I whispered with my face close to his ear. He wake up with a jolt.
“What happened? Mum-mum is everything alright,” he asked being worried.
“No. Everything isn’t alright. You don’t know what happened” I asked him in a faked serious tone. He shacked his head. “You know, today is the day. The day when 26 years ago you were born.” I told him being serious.
“Huh?” Alex face was worth watching.
“Happy Birthday, Duffer,” I told while smiling. Mum-mum also wished him. Alex was really surprised.
“Okay. Now it’s time for cake. Wish something and blow the candle,” I told him while put the cake in front of him. He did as I told. Then he cut the cake and fed mum-mum the first bite and then he came to me. He mouthed a thank you while feeding me.
“I still can’t believe you remembered my birthday,” he told us.
“Why wouldn’t we. It’s your birthday Alex. It will be always special for us,” Mum-mum told him.
“Now let’s go to sleep. Tomorrow will be a long day,” biding our good bye to him I left his room with mum-mum.

The next morning I woke up early and went to Alex’s room. He was still sleeping. I went towards his bed and pushed him slightly.
“Hey, Birthday boy, wake up,” I said to him. He groaned. “Five minutes!” he told me. “No five minutes. You have to wake up right now,” I screamed at him. And he had no option so he woke while whining.
“Good. Now go and get ready. After you finished come downstairs,” after made sure he went to get ready, I came downstairs. After one hour he came to the dining.
“Good morning, mum-mum. Wow made my favorite food!” he exclaimed.
“Good morning, baby. Obviously I made your favorite breakfast. It’s your day after all,” Mum-mum told him lovingly. “Now quickly finish your breakfast. Risha had plans for you.” Then Alex looked at me confusingly and I winked at him. After breakfast, I lead Alex towards my car.
“Hey, why are we using your car?” he asked me.
“Cause I am going to drive. And we are not going to hospital. I asked a leave for you and me as well,” I told him.
“Then where are we going?” he asked me.
“Isn’t it a surprise for you? You will see when we arrived there. Stop whining, like a child,” I told him. He was acting like a child.
“Hey, baby girl, please tell me what surprised you make me for, please!” he told me with his puppy eyes. I couldn’t stop my laughter. Then he pouted at me. He is such a baby. “It’s not funny,” he complained.
“How would it be a surprised if I tell you. You have to wait, boyfriend,” I told him while concentrating on the road.
“Ok. At least tell how long I have to wait?” he asked me.
“Well not more than one hour,” I told him. We were near to our destination. After one hour we arrived.
“Here we are!” I declared as we both got down from the car.
“Amusement park!” Alex exclaimed and then looked at me and I nodded.
“Why?” he whispered. I saw some stray of tears in his eyes.
“I want to give your childhood back. So…” before I could say anything I was engulfed in a bear hug.
