Abhiudey POV
“You prepared that shit in one week. One project, one single project you can’t handle and you call yourself an executive officer,” I yelled at my employee. They don’t even know how to hand a simple project. How would they manage a company. Useless fellow. In spite of having a bad headache, I came here to see their stupid presentation! Ridicules!
“I will give you one more day. If can’t give any better solution, you will be fired!” I told him sternly. Yes fired. I don’t give anyone 2nd chance. Without giving him any chance to say anything I left the conference room and went towards my office.
I am the CEO of the company, Knight Biotech ILC. The most successful and arrogant billionaire. Who didn’t show any sympathy to his opponent. I was walking past the stuffs desks and saw how much male employees are afraid of me and female employees are giving me lustful looks. I small smirked appeared on my lips but I put my signature emotionless expression.
“Do I have any other meetings today?” I asked secretary while entering my office.
“Yes, sir. You have a meeting at 3 pm with the chairman of VK enterprise. After that at 4 you have a video conference with a foreign investor. And the Chairman called, he wanted to meet you at 7 in his mansion,” my secretary told me. I took a seat behind my desk.
“Ok, inform him I will be there.” I don’t know about what my father wanted to talk but his talk means business. He never called except he had some work with me.
When my secretary, William freeman left my office, my thought drift to that day. The happiest day I have spent in the last 16 years. I don’t know how but she did it. She made me smile genuinely, for the first time in years. I want to meet her again, want to spent time with her.

It’s 6.55 and I am in front of my dad’s mansion. Which I left when I was 18. I worked so hard to build my own image and to get the position where I am now. I didn’t get the position of a CEO inherently but due to my capability and hard work.
“Hey, my dear sweet brother.” My sister, Aditi, greeted me, when I came inside.
“Hey, sweet sister. How are you?” I asked her. She is one and only person with whom I can be myself. She understand me more than I can understand myself.
“Awesome. How are you? Looks like you have a headache?” Told you she understand me more than anything.
“I am fine. Don’t worry. Where is dad?” I asked her to avoid my physical condition.
“Dinning,” she replied.
“Ok. Let’s go. He must be waiting for us,” I told her. Wrapping my hand around her, we went to the dining.
“Good evening, dad.” I greeted my father, Daniel Knight, the Chairman of the KB ILC.
“Good evening. Take a seat. I have an important matter to discuss with you.” Thanks dad. I am fine too.
I took a seat beside my father. The servants brought the food and started serving us. When they left, I told my father to discuss his so-called important matter.
“We have got a good business deal with the Mishra industries. They want to merge one of their company with us which is a billion dollar business deal for us,” he told me.
“That’s good. Is there any problem which I need to solve?” I asked him. He can handle that deal personally. So why is he telling me this.
“You have to marry their daughter.”
*****
And now here I am on the church, surrounding so many high class people, waiting for my unknown bride. I was standing on the aisle with a blank face, devoid of any emotion. I don’t know who I am going to marry, but she is going to regret for her this decision.
After some time my bride stepped inside the room. Walking slowly she came and stood in front of me. I was looking everywhere but her. The priest started the ritual.
“Abhiudey Knight, Do you take, Risha Mishra, to be your wife, promise to be true to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, will you love her and honor her all the days of her life?”
“I do,” I said devoid any emotion.
“Risha Mishra, Do you take, Abhiudey Knight, to be your husband, promise to be true to him in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, will you love him and honor him all the days of her life?”
“I do,” she said after a long pause. Her voice seems oddly familiar. Strange. Then we exchange the ring.
“Now I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride,” the priest said.
I went close to her and lifted her vail. I was shocked after seeing the person in front of me. It’s Isha. I was too engulf to my thought before that I didn’t heard the name of her. I kept staring at her for some time. Then I went to kiss her but change my mind and kiss on her forehead. Maybe she is not ready yet for lip to lip kiss. When I did that she snapped her head up.
She had a mixed emotion on her eyes. First I saw confusion on it then it turn into anger? Is she not happy with the marriage! We stared at each other for a few moments. Then I saw her eyelids closed and she fainted. I instantly hold her waist so that she won’t fall on the floor. I got so worried. Why she fall unconscious?
“Isha. Isha, wake up please, Isha,” I kept my hand on her face and called her several times but she didn’t answer. I felt everyone was looking at us shockingly but this time I don’t care. I picked her up in bridal style and walked out of the church.
