Abhiudey POV
I woke up in the morning with a severe headache. I saw around and realized I was in my bed. But how I end up here. The last thing I remember, I had punched a police officer, then they took me to the station. Fuck, they hadn't let me come to my princess. Did she bring me here? Forget it, I have to say sorry to her.
I ran downstairs forgetting my headache. When I was coming down the stairs, I saw Isha was instructing my driver to take luggage to the car. Why luggage! Then the realization hit me. Is she gonna leave me? No no no no... I can't... I can't afford to lose her.
“Wait!” I shouted, when Fredrik, my driver was taking the luggage. I ran towards them. “Leave the luggage here and go outside,” when I ordered Fredrik, I saw through the corner of my eyes that Isha was frowning at me. When he left, I turned to Isha with fear. Fear of losing her.
“Princess, listen, what I did was wrong. I-I won't do that ever again. Please don't leave,” I pleaded to her. She nodded her head in negative.
“What won't you do Abhi? Won't drink, until you can’t stand on your own feet. Then drive, punched a police officer. Which one you won't do?” Isha screamed at me. She is too much angry this time. And she should be, I have messed up big times.
“I won't yell at you or I won't be mad at you,” I tried to convince her. She laughed sarcastically.
“That means you will do the other things?” She asked me incredibly.
“No, Princess. I did all this just because I was angry with you. From now on, if I am not angry with you, I will not do those things,” I assured her.
“So you will do these things when you will fight with me?” she shouted at me getting angry. I shook my head.
“No. No, princess. I promise I won't do anything like that again. Please don't go,” I requested and went to hold her hand, but she pulled over.
“I have to go. You can’t stop me today,” ‘No. Oh God, no, please no. Please stop her, I never requested you for anything. For once, please stop her.’ “We have to leave.” I came out of my world of thoughts when she spoke.
“Huh..? We?” I was standing there like a fool.
“Yes, Abhi. We are leaving for London. We are going to mum-mum's place,” Before she could say anything more I pulled her close to me and hugged her tightly. She put her hand on my back. After a while that seemed like a few hours, I pulled back.
“You had nearly killed me,” she giggled hearing me.
“You deserve some punishment after what you did yesterday,” she told me nonchalantly.
“But that was too much,” I breathed a sigh of relief.
“Whatever,” she shrugged and said sternly, “Now go and get ready.” I nodded. She called me as I was about to turn back. “This week is Akash uncle’s death anniversary. So we are going to stay there for two weeks. I also called Will to reschedule all your meetings. Is that okay with you?” she asked me nervously.
“Princess, you don't need to ask me. You can do whatever you want,” I reassured her. She gave me her brightest smile which always brightens my day.
“Okay. Now go,” she pushed me to the stairs. “And I put painkiller on your nightstand. Take it,” I heard her while going to my room.
“Okay.”
******
“So, are you ready to see my home?” Isha asked me excitedly. We got off the plane an hour ago. We are now driving Isha’s mum-mum’s place. It's the place where I don't wanna come willingly. London, the place which always reminds me of HER. “ABHI!”
“Huh..?” I came out of my thoughts when Isha called me loudly.
“You okay? You zoned out for some time.” She asked me warily.
“I am ok princess,” I reassured her with a smile. “And I am more than ready to see your home, your mum-mum,” she gave me a grin. She seems so happy and I don't ruin her mood remembering my past.
After few minutes, the car stopped a driveway of a beautiful residence. So, this is where my princess grew up. We got out of the car. Isha holds my hand and leads me inside. As soon as we entered inside we heard a loud squeal. A middle-aged woman came out.
“Oh my God, Risha, why didn't you tell, you are coming?” She asked Isha excitedly.
“I couldn't see your surprising face, if I told you before,” Isha told her smilingly.
“Yeah, right. By the way, how are you?” she asked Isha.
“I am fine. How are you?”
“I am also fine. You must be Abhiudey, right?” she asked looking at me. And I nodded. Is she her mum-mum? I don't think so.
“Shit! I forgot. Abhi, she is Bella. She takes care of mum-mum. And Bella, you know who he is,” she introduced us.
“Hi,” I greeted her.
“Hello. Nice to meet you,” she also greeted me and I gave her a polite nod.
“Bella, where is mum-mum? Don't tell me she is sick,” Bella chuckled at Isha’s warning.
“No. She isn't. She is at her study. She is having a meeting with the manager,” Bella informed us. Isha holds me and dragged me somewhere after saying bye to Bella.
“Let's meet mum-mum. I haven't seen her in eight months,” she gushed.
“But, Isha, Bella told us, she is in a meeting,” I don't wanna interpret in Isha’s happiness. But her mum-mum may feel disturbed.
“So?” I was about to say the reason but before I could do so she pushed open the door. Isha shrieked, “mum-mum!” and ran and hugged her mum-mum. And she wrapped her hand around Isha and welcomed her with a warm smile. She was a beautiful woman in her mid-forty.
“Oh my God. My baby,” Isha’s mum-mum had tears in her eyes. When Isha pulled back, her mum-mum started kissing her on the face. She loves Isha like her daughter.
“It's been a long time since you've been here. Nice to see you here again, Risha,” the man sitting in front of them told Isha.
“Same too, Clark Uncle.” She replied.
“I should go now, mam?” he asked her.
“Yeah. I will talk to you later,” the man took his leave. He gave me a curt nod when he passed by me. I was still standing on the doorstep.
“Why are you crying?” Isha asked her.
“These are happy tears, dear. I haven't seen you in months. I missed you, baby.” Isha was wiping away her mum-mum’s tears. I think I should give them a little bit of privacy. Isha’s mum-mum called me as I was about to turn back.
“Abhiudey, what are doing standing at the door? Come inside, son,” how could she call a stranger, ‘son.’ And did she know my name. I went inside the room being confused. “Sit here,” she said, patted a seat beside her. I sat there and saw Isha again put her head on her mum-mum’s shoulder.
“How do you know me?” I asked her.
“Of course, I know you. I saw you at Risha's wedding. How caring you were when she fell unconscious,” she chuckled, remembering the moment.
“Aren't you angry with me because I married her because of a business deal,” I asked her. She smiled and shook her head.
“My anger all disappeared when I saw you care for her,” She put her hand on my head like a mother and smile. “Now tell me, how are you?” it made me slightly upset as she asked me.
“I am good,” I replied with a forced smile.
“What happened? Why are you upset?” she asked me with concern.
“Nothing. It's just no one asked me that before,” she gave me a sad smile. “Can I asked your name?” Should I have to ask that stupid question? She chuckled hearing me.
“Yes, definitely you can. I am Shimla Mehta,” She said. Did she say 'Mehta!'
“Are you the owner of Mehta Enterprise?” she nodded. “And Isha is one of the shareholders?” I asked her again.
“Yes. Why are you asking?” she asked me confusingly.
“Now, that makes sense,” I murmured but Mrs. Mehta looking at me confusingly. “Ah... I had a meeting with your company 5 months ago and she was there. That's why I am asking.” Now she is looking more confused.
“That makes no sense. Risha doesn't like a business. I couldn't take her to any single meeting. Why she went there?” Then I told the whole story. “Ok. Now everything is clear.” She chuckled. We glanced at Isha, she was sleeping peacefully. We both laughed at her cuteness.
Mrs. Mehta and I chatted for a while. Now I should take Isha to a bed. Otherwise, her back will ache.
“Mrs. Mehta....Ouch...” I was going to ask Mrs. Mehta to take Isha to her room when Isha slapped my arm.
“Why are you calling her Mrs. Mehta?” she raised her head and asked me in her sleepy voice.
“Then what should he call me?” Mrs. Mehta asked Isha, raising her brow.
“Mum-mum like I call,” she shrugged. Mrs. Mehta’s expression changed from frowning to grinning.
“You didn't let anyone called me ‘mum-mum’. You even allowed Alex at first,” At Alex's mention made a little bit insecure. But I maintain my façade.
“But he didn't stop,” she complained like a child.
“Yeah because he is as stubborn as you,” Then Mrs. Mehta aka Mum-mum turned to me. “Now you got the green signal. So from now on, you will call me mum-mum. Do you understand?” she said the last sentence as a threat.
“Yes. Mum-mum,” I told her laughingly.
“I am going to tell Bella, to arranged a room for you,” when she was about to stand, Isha stopped her.
“No need. He was going to stay in my room.” Saying that she stood up and forwarded her hand for me. “Come. I will show you the room,” I took her hand happily and stood up.
“You want to sleep,” Isha giggled at mum-mum's comment. “Abhiudey don't let her sleep again. Come back for dinner after getting fresh,” Mum-mum told me.
“Ok, mum-mum. I won't let her sleep,” I assured her. Isha was right. I liked mum-mum the moment I met her. She was just like mom. No, I am not going to think about it. I won't ruin Isha’s happiness. Isha took me to her room.
“This is my room. Like it?” she asked me.
“It's pretty. Thank goodness it's not pinkish,” I joked and Isha was grinning.
“Well you can see, I am not like typical girls,” she told me proudly.
“Yeah, you are different. Different from everyone,” I whispered, pushing the strand of hairs from her face. I slowly put my hand on her cheek. Leaning towards her, I was about to kiss her. When I realized what I was going to do, I pulled back. Isha also looked away. She was looking flushed.
“You should take the shower first, you must be tired,” she told after our awkward moment.
“And you are not going to sleep. So you are going to take the shower first,” I told her when I saw she was going towards the bed.
“You and mum-mum both are enemies of my sleep,” she complained me with a pout. I gave no attention to that.
“Yeah. We know. Now go,” I pushed her toward the bathroom. I was waiting on her bed and thinking about her.
“Now it's your turn. Go get a shower,” Isha told me coming out of the bathroom. Nodding at her I went to the bathroom to get a shower. When I came back, I saw my little princess was sleeping on her bed. I shook my head and laughed at childishness. She was looking so cute.
I went to the bed and sat beside her. And slowly pushed her.
“Princess. Princess gets up, please,” she groaned at her sleep. “Princess we have to eat. Please wake up,” I said to her softly. But instead of getting up, she turned to the other side. “Okay. You won't get up, right? Then don't blame me,” saying that, I started tickling her. She started laughing and struggling to get out of my hold.
“Abhi! Abhi stop. Ok. I-I promise I won't sleep. Now stop,” I stopped and laid beside her. Then we looked at each other and started laughing.
