CHAPTER 10: FINALLY A KISS

ATTENTION!! HELLO MY FRIENDS! I am so sorry for the delay (^ - ^) I know its a little/really late. But all things aside, thank you again for the reads, likes, and comments. -ALEKS'S POV~

My eyes fluttered open when I heard the morning alarm sound. I got up painfully, its been two weeks since I was beaten in the bathroom. My body still aches. Im just glad I finally convinced Xander not to beat anyone up. Im not weak, i dont need people to stand up for me, right? I swung my feet over the bed and and jumped down before putting on my clothes and heading out the door.

"HEY!" Aya yelled and ran over to me. We had become close over the past few days. She was nice, funny....loud. Aya gave me a smile and winked at me.

"So you planning on giving chocolates to a certain tall, dark, and handsome?" She giggled elbowing me. I felt my face turn red, but what was she talking about?

"Huh? Why would I do that?" I questioned

"You dont know? Its Valentines Day! You gotta get Xander something" Aya smiled widened. Valentines Day? I looked over to Xander (We are in lunch at the moment) He was once again at the popular table. He was resting his head in his hands, a bored look on his face as everyone around him laughed and talked. Could I possibly get him something? Aya punched my shoulder.

"Hey, stay with me. How about this, we can go to the home ec room. It will be empty and has ingredients for chocolates! Come on, I will help you" Aya said excitedly bouncing up and down in her seat. I laughed and shook my head.

"No, it would be weird" I said quietly. Aya pouted and pulled me out of my seat.

"It will be fine. If it gets weird, say you made it for your freinds. YOU CANT LOSE!" She said as I follwed her relectuntly out of the room.

~Aya's POV~ (Dont worry, ill change it back after this scene is over)

I pulled Aleks out of the lunch room. His face was a bright red. He was to friggen cute! We walked quietly to the Home Ec room and snuck in. Aleks looked around the room, his blue eyes wide. It didnt suprise me that he was amased by the room. It was impressive, 6 shiny new ovens where scattered about the giant room. Next to each one was a fridge, a sink, counters/cabinets, and a table.

"Welp! Lets get started" I yelped causing Aleks to jump. We moved over to the closest stove.

"Uhm, s-so? Do you kn-know how to m-make chocolate?" he asked me quietly. I nodded and went to the cabinet for ingredients. "My family owned a bakery when I was little, I can cook practically whatever" I laughed. He smiled and took out a few bowls and pans. "Lets add cherries" I said. I wanted Xander to love these chocalates. So I would make my specail recipe:

Drain cherries and set on paper towels to dry.

In a medium bowl, combine butter and corn syrup until smooth. Stir in sugar and knead to form a dough. Chill to stiffen if necessary. Wrap each cherry in about 1 teaspoon of dough. Chill until firm.

Melt chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Dip each cherry in by its stem, and place on waxed paper lined sheets. Chill until completely set. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.

"Aleks, you wash the cherries, Ill  make the dough" I said and he nodded taking cherries out of the fridge and taking them to the sink. He took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeves and went to washing. I smiled before getting started. Having a friend was nice.

"Uhm, I'm done" He said placing the now dry cherries next to me. I was done with the dough."Okay! Thats great! Now just dip them into the dough! And then melt the chocolates." I said, having pre-made chocalate was cheating but, who will know? Aleks nodded and went to work, taking each cherry and dipping it into the mixture. A small smile was on his face. I laughed."So, when are you gonna make a move on Xander?" I asked and he froze. "I-I dunno" He said. I sighed and leaned againt the counter. "If you never ask, someone else will. Ive seen that stupid Lindsey eyeing him like he was raw beef" I snickered. Aleks looked over to me with a worried expression."Sh-she might be b-better for him" He said. I laughed and shook my head. He gave me another look and I smiled at him."Better than my Aleks? Not a chance!" I yelled throwing a fist into the air. "Who would want Lindsey? She is kinda of a bitch. Your persanality is so adorable. What can she give Xander that you cant?" "A family" Aleks said sadly and looked away. My insides lurched forward. "Adoption!" I said quickly reassuring him. He simply shook his head. 'Its not the same' His thoughts rang through my head. 'Lindsey can give him blood children, I cant give him anything. He cant be happy with me. No one can possibly be happy with me' I frowned and pulled him into a hug. He froze shocked at the motion."What ar-are you d-doing?" He whimpered. Had he not been hugged before? I pulled him in tighter before letting him go. "Your beautiful Aleks, you make me happier then ive ever been, and I know you make Xander happy" I smiled at him. His blue eyes widened then filled up with tears. 'thank you' I nodded."Now go heat up the chocalate so we can get your man some sweets" I laughed pushing him to the oven. His little body stumbled foreward before he caught himself. Oh, it would be so fun betraying him.

~Aleks's POV~

I burnt myself at least fifteen thoasand times. How was this so hard? Aya was kind enough to put up with me. But, I could tell she was getting tired. Her laugh and smile where a bit more forced and she developed a twitch. Aya wrapped my hands in bandages and looked over to my lumpy cherries. I dont know how they turned out like that. I have never cooked in my life. She smiled and picked them up.  "I guess the saying third time is a charm, isnt always true, huh?" she laughed "Shall we try again?" I figured if we did. Aya would blow a fuse so I shook my head. She picked one up and ate it before shrugging."They taste like chocalates so I dont see any problem." She said then put some of the cherries in a bag, handing them to me. "Now go give them to Xander. It should be break time" She looked to the clock and nodded. We where in here for half the day?! Ugh, luckily I had no tests.My heart raced as she pushed me out the door and dragged me to the main hall. I spotted Xander sitting on the bench. My legs stopped working and Aya groaned."Come on Aleks! Dont let all that time I spent go to waste. Give him the chocalates!" Aya said sternly. I couldnt convince myself to move. I cant do this. Oh my glob, why was I trying to do this? Xander looked up and scanned the room. I yelped and hid behind Aya. "XANDER! YOOHOO! OVER HERE!" Aya yelled waving her arms. My heart pounded against my chest."Aya n-no. Im rethinking th-this." I stuttered and Aya laughed turning to me. "Love is dumb, in order to achieve it, dont be smart, dont think" She said smiling. "What did you want?" I heard Xander ask as he walked over to us. I froze and his the candy behind me. Aya laughed and slapped my back"Aleks, wants to give you something, but I have to go" She laughed and winked at me before turning around and walking away. Xander and me where alone in the empty hallway. Where did everyone go? Litterally a second ago, everyone was here, now their gone."You needed something?" Xander asked causing me to jump. My face heated up and I looked away. "I-I uh, m-made uh I" I stuttered. Oh my glob, I was going to die. I heard Xander sniff the air."Yum, I smell cherries" he sighed. My heart beat picked up and I closed my eyes before pushing the chocalates I made into his hands. Did I just- oh glob. There was a moment of silence until Xander cleared his throat. I kept my head down. I knew my face was so red. Gah! I was such an idiot! I felt someones hand slip under my chin and pull my head up. Xanders golden eyes burned into mine. His face was so frickin close. He leaned in closer, oh my glob. His lips brushed against mine. He pulled away then ate one of the cherries. "Happy Valentines Day, Aleks" He said before walking away. My knees gave in and I fell to the floor. I buried my face into my jacket. Holy pooh, did he...did I...did we just...kiss?
