CHAPTER 23: GET IT DONE

Omg! Its been so long since I've updated. How has everyone been? Heh...Well here is a well deserved update for all the views and support we've been having! And I have noticed so many grammatical errors in my writing, and since I have improved greatly in the art of literature (or at least I think XD) I shall go back and make corrections. Nothing that will change the story, do not fret. Hehe, anyways, ENJOY!

~Aya's POV~

My hands shook as I realized that Aleks had slipped out of my hands once again. I growled as something boiled in the pits of my stomach. This lucky little bastard would soon taste my blade if its the last thing I do. He wont be able to run from me forever. Even the smallest rat runs out of hiding places eventually. I'm seriously running out of time...I need a plan.

~Xander's POV~

I took Aleks back to the room and hugged him tightly, trying to shake the feeling of anger in my body. We had to deal with Aya....and find out why she was trying so desperately to pull me and Aleks apart. Maybe she really was homo-phobic.
"Xander?" Aleks cooed as he looked up at me. I ran my fingers through his soft raven hair and smiled down at him.
"Yes?" I replied as he rested his head on my chest again.
"What are we going to do about Aya?" He whispered quietly and wrapped his arms around my torso. I kissed his scalp as I looked out the window.
"Run away with me" I said mindlessly, only realizing my words when his tiny body froze in my arms. He pulled away and looked up at me with eyes full of worry.
"What?" he managed to squeak out. I grabbed him again and pulled him onto the bed with me.
"Let's leave this place, I bet that weird purple haired kid find us a way out, he is a giant genius right?" I replied hoping he wouldn't run away again.
"I-I...you know what'll happen" Aleks retorted as he stood up, backing away from me. My chest dropped as I watched his face.
"Please, listen to me for five seconds before you run away. We can't stay here any longer, between Aya and Key we'll probably not survive more than a month." I said as I motioned towards the window "Out there, we can be ourselves. We wont have to hid our relationship! No Aya, and no monsters anymore"
"There are monsters anywhere we go..." Aleks whispered as he bit his lip, his small body began to shake.
"Aleks, I am here now to protect you from any monsters. I memorized the way to the road on that last trip. I have an older brother that is more than willing to help us. We can get out, we can live a normal life" I replied taking his hands into my own. "We can be free from this"
"I've tried...I know what'll h-happen" he whispered as he traced a finger across his tummy, probably outlining his scar.
"That's why we have the upper hand, and this time it will be different. I promise you Aleks" I forced his eyes to look into mine "I wont let anyone put anymore scars on you"
Aleks bit his lip before embracing me. I let out a long sigh as I wrapped my arms around his torso, a feeling of relief rushed through me.
"I promise" I whispered as I kissed his head.

~Aleks's POV~

Xander is out of his mind, thinking he can even make it a foot outside of these prison walls. But he promised me he wouldn't let me get hurt. And I don't think he realized it, but his hands where shaking. I guess I couldn't expect him to be able to stay in this place without losing his mind. But...I still don't know any possible way we could get out of here. Maybe I could ask Key for some advice, he seemed nice when me and Xander had a minor malfunction. Maybe he could come with us also! Maybe we do have a chance at freedom. Even if it just the slightest sliver.
I chewed at the end of my pencil as I sat in class, attempting to listen to my teacher. But, I had much more important things on my mind. I could feel Aya glaring at the back of my head, it was unnerving. I froze as the bell rung and someone was instantly in front of me. I looked up and frowned when I saw Aya looking down at me.
"Your planning on escaping?" she growled in a low voice. My eyes widened as I shot up from my seat. She had read my mind during class, I wasn't careful. I put on my best menacing look and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Don't give me that, do you know what they'll do to you?" she retorted grabbing my arm. I pulled away and sneered at her.
"You do-don't deserve any other look. I k-knew you were only friends with me for Xander" I retorted, attempting to keep my voice from cracking. Her gaze softened but only for a moment.
"That mutt? I could give two shits what happened to him!" she cried out.
"Then why d-did you kiss him and try to br-break us up?" I retorted, growing angry. She rolled her eye as her face shriveled up with anger.
"None of that was for Xander! I'm trying to get you!" she shrieked before freezing. I felt my face heat up as I contemplated what that meant.
"Get me?" I squeaked out as the desperateness on her face grow.
"N-Not like that, as a friend! Yeah, all you talked about was him...I'm sorry I did that...I just didn't want you to completely forget about me." She replied and I frowned at her, furrowing my eyebrows.
"You could of told me you felt like that. Going th-that far was unnecessary" I replied as she sighed looking away.
"I'm not that good with social skills...I never had many friends" she noted and I felt myself feeling sorry for her.
"I-I...you were still in the wrong" I replied, not trusting her fully yet. Her face went from pathetic to angry in a second.
"And your not in the wrong? Don't forget who you are Aleks. Xander may want to go places with you. But wherever you go, it wont stop who you are. Xander is a real monster and he can probably associate with humans better than you. Hell! You cant even talk to us normally." she growled as she stepped towards me, causing me to cower.
"Is there a problem ladies?" I heard someone snicker and looked up to see Blaine standing at the doorway. Aya growled and back off before storming out, pushing past Blaine's tall figure. He watched her before turning to me with a silly grin on his face.
"Whats up her bum?" he laughed. I gave him a shy smile as I gathered up my stuff, meeting him at the door so we could walk to our next class together.
"Its nothing" I whispered out as we walked.
"Alright then. If she's bugging you just lemme know" he laughed. We walked in silence for a moment as I contemplated on asking him about the escape. He used to be Xander's childhood friend, so maybe he can be helpful?
"H-How difficult would it be to...uhm....escape here?" I asked and Blaine stopped and looked down at me. He grabbed my arm and pulled me into the bathroom as the bell rang. My first late....
"What?" he asked louder than needed. His voice echoed off the walls and caused me to shrink at the crack in his voice, it sounded...robotic.
"I-I...Xander...we" my words trailed off as his hazel eyes lite up with something. Was he possibly...angry with me. His face softened and he backed away.
"I'm sorry...mood swings" he laughed nervously as he stated. "Xander putting insane thoughts in your head?"
"No-not exactly...uhm...we wanna escape....is it th-that insane?" I asked through the tension. He leaned against the wall and thought for a moment.
"Not if I come with you guys" he stated.
