-Third Person POV-
Aleks clung to Xander as they made their way through the now devastated school. They passed through the main hall where they had first met, it was scattered with bodies of both the guards and the monsters. The creative cooking room where Aleks had made Xander the treats, flames licked the walls, covering the room with black smoke.
And finally down the hall that Xander and Aleks had shared their first kiss at. The hallway burned like the rest of the school. The memories going up with the flame. The boys ignored it as they followed Key down the hall, he pulled at a air vent, it popped open easily and he ushered everyone through, following in last.
Aya peeked out, Kiyo close behind her, she waited a few moments before she followed them. She entered the vents silently with Kiyo.
"Are we lost?" Xander finally snapped after what seemed like an eternity of navigating through the vents.
"It would seem so." Key replied plainly and Xander growled, looking back at him.
"So you've just been leading us blindly through these damn vents?" he asked angrily.
"Don't get your tampon in a not Xan, he's doing his best." Blaine snapped, being a claustrophobic, he was unhappy already.
"His best might get us killed!" Xander growled.
"Calm down pl-please." Aleks piped in, but wasn't heard over their fight.
"Oh and you've been the absolute savior of this mission. You haven't done one damned thing to help." Blaine rolled his eyes and Xander growled, turning around completely.
"That's it metal head, I'm going to kick your damn ass!" he yelled as he attempted to climb over Key to reach him.
"Mr. Bailey! Refrain from fighting or we'll fall through!" Key yelled as he was pushed to the ground, Xander crawling over him. Aleks squeaked and grabbed ahold of Xander, trying to pull him back.
"Knock it off dog breath before we all fall through." Blaine growled as he pushed Xander's reach away.
"If you die in the end I don't give a shit!" Xander snapped back, his body pinning Key to the ground. The vent struggling to hold them until it finally gave in. The bottom popped open, cold air rushing into the events as the boys fell through to the soft ground.
Aleks grunted as he hit the grass roughly, Key letting out a cry as he hit first, Xander crashing down on top of him seconds after. Blaine braced himself for impact, groaning as he sat up, rubbing his head as some of the artificial skin was pulled back, exposing the metal underneath.
"Guys..." Aleks squeaked, his eyes wide as he examined the grass underneath his hands, a smile spreading over his lips as he breathed in the fresh air. "W-We're out..."
Xander lifted himself off Key and his eyes widened, he smiled before he jumped up, pulling Aleks into a hug as he laughed.
"We're out!" he repeated Aleks's words as he spun the small boy around. Key sighed as he brushed himself off, Blaine lifting him off his feet.
"So where to next?" Blaine asked, examining the surroundings. The whole school seemed to be surrounded by a dense wooded area. The air was cold enough to where you could see your own breath.
"We head west." Key replied as Xander and Aleks continued their celebration. They where interrupted by someone dropping down from the event.
"Wrong, the next stop is hell." Aya snickered as she landed gracefully on her feet, a large grin plastered to her face. Xander stepped back, pulling Aleks with him as he narrowed his eyes.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Xander growled as Kiyo dropped down beside her, a monotonous look on his face.
"Kill all of them Aya." he ordered as she straightened up, pulling out her sword.
"What are you doing?! Knock it off." Xander replied as he backed up more. Key was pulled back by Blaine, a nervous look on his face.
"Hand over the human, he goes first." she growled, the grin remaining as she stepped towards them.
"I wouldn't let you touch him," Xander snapped back. "Why the hell are you trying to kill him?!"
"You'll have to let go of him sometime woofy." she snickered. "The full moon's come out to play. And you aren't in your cage." her eyes flickered red as she twitched.
"A-Aya...why?" Aleks paused, was this what she was trying to do when they where alone? He silently thanked that Key had come back before anything happened.
"Because, humans are the disgusting beings that plague our beautiful earth." she growled. "And I am the hero that will serve this world justice."
Xander looked up at the sky and his heart skipped a beat when he noticed the moon, his face paled as he looked down to Aleks.
"Blaine, take them and run." he ordered, pushing Aleks to him.
"What? But you-"
"Do it you idiot! Unless you all want to die!" Xander cut him off. Blaine narrowed his eyes before he picked Aleks up and flung him over his shoulder.
"Wait! X-Xander!" Aleks cried out as he was swept up. Blaine took off into the woods, Aya's grin widening as Kiyo chuckled.
