~Xander's POV ~

I washed my face in the bathroom mirror before straightening up with a sigh. Why the hell did he have to invite that shitty Blaine to go with us? Something about that guy was off and I hated it. I'd find a way to keep him from following us.
"We have nothing better to do now that the big bad werewolf is protecting our usual target." I heard someone growl and I rolled my eyes. I was about to leave when Finny's voice pitched in.
"Let's just go bother that chick Aya he totally dumped. Being left by a loser must make you an uber loser right?" His voice echoed off the walls and filled me with a mix of anger for calling Aleks a loser, and a bit of amusement at the Aya comment.
I walked out of the bathroom with a smile on my face which seemed to startle Finny and whatever dipshit he was with this time. I waved to them and headed back to my biology class and collapsed in my seat.
"We are doing a group project" Mrs. Grove stated once I took out my notes. She waved back several elated cheers coming from the students "But dont get to happy, I am picking partners" she added and the class booed her. Which she returned with a demonic look.
"I will assign you a partner with the exact opposite features and you must find out what your children would look like using phenotypes and genotype ratios." She stated and I moved back, catching Aleks's eyes with mine and giving him a small wink. Smirking as he blushed deeply and instantly shrunk in his seat.
She kept going til she paired up all the girls with the guys, which wasnt very even since their were only six girls and thirteen boys. She started pairing the remainder up and I got hopeful as I noticed me or Aleks wasn't paired up yet.
"Aleks and...Shikumaru" she said and I slumped down in disappointment. The boy did the same but I was sure it was for completely different reasons.
"Mrs. Grove?" I looked over to see Blaine standing at the door with a packet in his hand and a small smile on his face. "You wanted me to come during my study hall to do the project?"
"Ah yes, this works perfectly. Go with Mr. Bailey" she ordered and I froze, sending him a glare as he smirked at me. He nodded to her before taking the seat in front of me as everyone began working.
I folded up a paper football and flicked it off the table and into Aleks's lap. Laughing as he looked around till he found me, giving me a small embarrassed smile as he shoved the football in his pocket so his partner wouldn't notice it.
"Xander? You listening?" Blaine cut into my thoughts and I looked over to him boredly. "Are you going to be grouchy this entire project?"
"If you're going to be here....yes" I replied harshly and he sunk down a bit.
"Can I ask why you are so angry?" He replied knitting his eyebrows together. I sighed in response and looked out the window.
"I don't like you nor trust you" I retorted glancing to him momentarily.
"I figured, I don't ever recall doing anything to you" Blaine shot back
"Of course you don't, you are to dense"
"Dense? Me? Is this because me and your little boy toy are getting somewhat close?"
"Don't call him a boy toy" I snapped and turned to him keeping my voice hushed to not draw any attention. A smile spread across his lips and he leaned forward.
"You're worse than Edward from Twilight. How many friends has he lost ever since you became so 'protective' over him" he replied in the same voice and I stood to my feet grabbing him by his collar and pulling him up not as easily as I would've liked.
"Shut your fucking trap metal brain" I snapped and Blaine pushed me away. I caught myself and punched him in the jaw. I yelped as pain shot through my fist.
"Who you calling metal brain you stupid mutt" he growled back and tackled me into one of the desks delivering a punch to my jaw, which jarred my brain. I attempted to push him back but he was way to heavy to even budge an inch.
"Boys! Knock it off!" Mrs. Grove shrieked but didn't dare steeping close to us. I kneed Blaine in the side causing him to fall back and hit the wall.
"Xander wait-mph" Aleks called as I drew my elbow back quickly. I froze as my elbow hit something and I heard Aleks yelp. I spun around quickly and my eyes widened as Aleks clutched his hands to his nose, blood gushing out of it.

-Aleks's POV-

I yelped and clutched my face as pain shot through my mind. Xander's elbow had smashed into my nose when I tried to break him and Blaine up.
"Aleks, oh my god" Xander cried out as he turned all of his attention towards me. He grabbed my wrists gently as I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Let me see" he ordered and I looked at him through one eye. His mouth and knuckles where bleeding, his eyes where wide with worry.
"Put your hands up all of you" The school guard yelled as she marched in, everyone obeyed instantly accept Xander, who hesitated for a moment but eventually put them up slowly.
The woman turned to us and noticed our wounds before narrowing her eyes. I shrunk down instantly and couldn't help but let out a small whimper.
"You three, come with me now and peacefully" she ordered and I quickly scurried to her side, Xander and Blaine followed reluctantly.
She lead us out of the room and we where ordered to keep our hands high above our head. Which happened when any of us got into a fight, the precautions had to be taken. The three of us where ushered into a room with a table and a few seats.
"Sit down and don't move until the principal gets here." She demanded and I instantly froze...the principal? Why was it him wanting to see us and not the headmistress like usual. I looked to see the same worry on Blaine's face and shrunk in my seat.
