"Hm." Recovery Girl hummed, as she scanned her eyes over Monoma's frame. "You said you don't remember anything, yes?"

Monoma nodded. "Yes."

Recovery Girl hummed again, before turning to Vlad King, who was sitting in a chair placed in a corner of the room. "It's just as I suspected. Since my quirk relies on stamina, Monoma's head injury didn't fully heal, rather it healed just enough for him to be able to wake up. Now that he's awake, I can heal him again, but it will take more time for him to be back the was he was before."

"How long?" Vlad King asked.

"Two weeks, give or take a few days."

Vlad King sighed. "That's too long of a time to excuse him from classes, especially with how much time has already passed, isn't it?"

"It is. I'm afraid he'll have to go back." Recovery Girl replied.

"Excuse me." Monoma cut in. "But what do you mean by 'the way I was before' and 'excuse me from classes'?"

Vlad King opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off when the door suddenly slammed open and a grey haired boy with big eyelashes ran into the room, enveloping Monoma into a tight hug.

"Huh?" Monoma exclaimed, surprised.

The touch was familiar, yet foreign at the same time. Monoma wanted to both lean into the hug and push away the stranger simultaneously.

Maybe they weren't a stranger. Maybe this was someone he knew, but had forgotten.

The feeling of not knowing made him sick.

"Monoma! I was so worried about you! Why didn't you tell us you were awake?" The stranger exclaimed, making his hold on Monoma tighter.

When Monoma opened his mouth to speak, another person came in, but this time it was a girl. She had orange hair with teal eyes, and Monoma's eyes widened and he could feel himself flush a little. Her expression was disappointed yet kind, and the blond could feel the familiarity of that gaze, as if he had seen it multiple times.

She was beautiful.

"Tetsutetsu!" The girl chided. "You shouldn't run like that, especially in a hospital. We don't even know the full extent of his injuries, hugging him like that could hurt him!"

The grey haired boy laughed, embarrassed, before letting Monoma go. "Sorry about that bro! I guess I got a bit carried away there."

"It's... fine." Monoma said distantly, reveling in the way the girl sighed exasperatedly, before she gave a warm smile.

"That's good. How are you feeling?" She asked, her head slightly tilted.

Monoma was too transfixed on the wavy motion of her hair as she moved, that he forgot to answer.

Thankfully for him, Vlad King had stepped in. "You two need to leave, we still need to-"

"Tetsu! Why did you leave us behind!" A voice called, before a group of people entered the room as well. A brunet boy with round eyes stood at the front, grinning at Monoma. A green haired girl with sharp teeth gave him a toothy smile. "Yeah! We wanna say hello to Monoma too!" She said.

"Uh," Monoma muttered, confused.

"I'm sorry to burst your bubbles, but no one can say hello to Monoma right now." Vlad King informed, slightly pushing the group to the door.

"But sir! We're a class! Shouldn't we be allowed to see him?" A ravenet with a headband argued.

Then it clicked.
