Shinsou couldn't sleep.
He knew it wasn't his insomnia acting up, no, it was his anxiousness.
The main problem he was having was that he didn't know if he was anxious about Monoma waking up and remembering him or Monoma not waking up and not remembering him, or even Monoma waking up and not remembering him.
Shinsou honestly didn't know which was the worst one. If Monoma remembered him, then surely he would remember that kiss he had seen Shinsou share with Kaminari, and then their entire relationship would be fucked up.
Just because Shinsou was a whiny bitch who needed attention.
Pathetic.

When Shinsou woke up the next morning, he sighed at his ceiling, anticipating what the outcome of Monoma's condition would be.
The same anxious feeling stayed with him as he got through his morning classes, and the bell had finally rung. None of his classmates had asked him about his recent weird behaviour, and had been gracious enough to not ask him where he was going during lunch. Maybe they just thought he would be hanging out with Aizawa today.
Shinsou made his way to Recovery Girl's office when he had gotten out of his classroom, murmuring goodbyes to his classmates, hoping to see Monoma and get some answers on whether he was fine or not. After Shinsou knocked on the door, a muffled "Come in!" came from inside, and Shinsou opened it to see Recovery Girl sitting in a chair next to the bed where Monoma lay unconscious.
Vlad King and Kendo sat adjacent to her, greeting Shinsou with warm smiles.
"I see you're here to get an update on Monoma's condition as well?" Vlad King asked.
Shinsou wordlessly nodded and sat in an extra seat opposite to Kendo's, who gave him another smile.
Recovery Girl cleared her throat. "After running a few tests, I'm sure I can give you an accurate diagnosis of Monoma's condition. Vlad King, feel free to relay this to your students, as they must be worried."
Vlad King nodded at her suggestion, folding his arms.
"When he hit his head again, he ended up re-opening the wound that caused his first accident. Normally, the result would have meant that his condition would be worse, but it seems to be getting better instead. After I cleaned it and kissed it, it healed faster than expected. At the rate it's going, I think it's safe to say that your friend will recover." Recovery Girl explained.
"That's a good thing, isn't it?" Shinsou asked.
"It is, but there's a difference. Instead of healing the entire thing like last time, it seemed his body is making changes and focusing on specific areas of his memory, before moving to the next. This way, he's going to remember pieces and fragments of his memories, rather than everything at once." Recovery Girl enlightened. "This means that he'll be waking up sooner than before, and hopefully remember everything faster."
Kendo politely raised her hand, before asking, "You said he's going to remember separate pieces of his memory, correct?"
"Yes." Recovery Girl answered.
"Does that mean he'll remember what happened before he got injured again? Or that he won't remember people or places until later?" Kendo questioned.
Recover Girl hummed. "It's possible for him to remember what happened before he got injured a second time. He was healing during that time, so some parts of him may have been good enough to store some memories, though I doubt he would be able to remember all of them. As for remembering people until later, that's for certain. There might not be any particular pattern, but he will remember things piece by piece."
