When you awoke the next morning, Shigaraki was no longer there. You'd fallen asleep together, so you couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment when you found the spot next to you cold and empty. In his place, however, was a phone.

You quickly picked it up. It was an older model, clearly not equipped for surfing the web and playing apps on, but it had a single contact saved on it. There was also an unread message.

Tomura:

Here's the phone you wanted. I'm in a meeting right now, but call me or text me whenever you want and I'll try to respond as soon as possible.

Well, that was quick. He must've gotten this while you were still sleeping. Not that you were complaining, though. It helped put your nerves at ease somewhat, even if your concerns were slightly unnecessary to begin with.

You set the phone aside and stepped out of bed. Shigaraki was probably going to be pretty busy for a while, so you would need to find some way to occupy your time. You opened up the closet and rifled through your clothes until you found something you liked. Now that his organization had plenty of financial support, he'd been happy to throw money at you and buy you whatever you wanted. Games, clothing, makeup, books, and various others. While you were still restricted to the villa's grounds, there were at least things to do.

That being said, your favorite thing was still hanging out with Dabi, but you searched all over, and still couldn't find him. He was probably avoiding you because of yesterday. He must've realized he'd accidentally shared too much. Unless he'd just been lying to you for fun, but it didn't really seem like it. You were sure he'd never tell you, but you wondered what happened to those brothers of his, to the rest of his relatives. You wondered if they'd met the same end as Shigaraki's family.

There were a lot of different rooms in the villa, and you could probably just go around on a little tour trying to see which ones you could actually open, but you were the least familiar with the large, underground area that the Liberation Front used for their group gatherings. Thankfully, pretty much everyone around here realized they had to listen to you, so even Re-Destro's aide had to reluctantly let you through with his elevator key. He kept eyeing you down the whole time, not exactly subtle with his facial expressions.

You stared at him. "What's the problem?"

"Hm? There is no problem," he quickly brushed off. "Of course there's no problem."

From what you recalled, this man's name was Hanabata or something. Re-Destro usually referred to him as "Trumpet", but that was a stupid alias so you had no intention of calling him that.

"You don't like me," you said matter-of-factly. "None of the members of your old boss' organization, at least. It's okay. I'd rather you not pretend otherwise. You're a pretty bad actor."

Hanabata's lips twitched at the sides. "Nonsense. We're happy to have you here. The commander is so fond of you, and you always keep him in a good mood. You're an important asset."

"Uh-huh."

You'd rather not be referred to as an asset either, but this guy clearly wasn't going to give in no matter how much you provoked him. Whatever. He could hate your guts all he wanted. So long as Shigaraki was in charge, it wasn't going to get him anywhere.

After what seemed like an obscenely long elevator ride, the doors finally opened up. The underground wasn't completely empty like you'd expected it to be. There weren't a whole ton of people, but there were still small clusters lounging around and talking to one another, reclined against the large pillars that were keeping this area from collapsing altogether.
