You weren't sure exactly how long you'd been confined by Mr. Compress' Quirk, but when you came to, you were inside the lobby of what appeared to be a hotel or villa of some kind. Mr. Compress was still by your side, though he was wearing his usual mask again. There were two other men that you didn't recognize; one with long black hair and bangs that covered his eyes, and another whose expression was partially veiled by the sunglasses he had on.

"It'll just be a moment," Mr. Compress told you. "Me and some of the other members have business to discuss, so Dabi will be leading you the rest of the way."

It didn't occur to you to try to struggle, or even ask any questions. Your heart was still humming without abandon, and some sick part of you was almost relieved. Relieved that Shigaraki hadn't completely forgotten about you after all.

Mr. Compress and the other men headed for the elevator, and as promised, Dabi came to escort you. His pale blue eyes were as cold and vacant as always, but for a split second, you thought you noticed the corner of his lips scrunching up.

"Look who's back," he sighed. "I think it goes without saying, but I can't let you run away a second time. Not only will it get me in a shitload of trouble, but I'm really not that nice of a guy."

You shrugged. "Whatever. I didn't expect you to."

"Seems like you're really taking all of this in stride. I figured you'd be crying right about now."

"I don't really care anymore. Everything is pointless, anyways."

He looked like he wanted to say something, but resisted the urge and bit his cheek. It was just like he'd said. He wasn't that nice of a guy. Your problems were your own, and this was your reality. Now that you were back here again, you needed to feel out your situation and figure out a way to cope.

First, you would have to deal with Shigaraki.

You couldn't help but remember the night you'd first tried to escape, after finding out that Luca had been murdered. Now that you'd already been as physically intimate with Shigaraki as was possible, you told yourself that you would be able to handle it even if he decided to punish you like that again. The chances of him actually killing you very rather slim, you decided. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone out of his way to bring you all the way here.

While you gathered your thoughts, Dabi had already stopped in front of one of the doors. "Well, this is as far as I go," he said. "Try not to do anything stupid and piss the boss off. You know how he can be."

"Okay. I'll do my best."

"Your best isn't gonna be good enough, sweetheart. Just make sure not to fuck anything up."

He didn't start walking away, not until he saw with his own eyes that you went into the room. You took a deep breath, lungs burning from the inside. It was fine. Your life was already going nowhere. Your family, your friends... none of them understood you anymore. Maybe this really was where you were destined to be.

You opened the door and stepped into the room. A strange sight awaited you there. Shigaraki wasn't wearing his mask, though he'd usually kept it off around you, so that wasn't really much of a change. But his clothes—the dark suit he was wearing—and even just his demeanor. All of it was different. Unfamiliar. It was hard to describe, but from the second you entered the room, you could feel that he had changed in a big way.

The second Shigaraki locked eyes with you, he stood up from the couch and started making his way over. He didn't say anything, not at first, but his expression held no trace of the anger you'd been expecting. His crimson eyes were rife with excitement; he could hardly keep his lips from twitching into a smile.
