Fire filled in the eyes of our little Jocasta. Her body was covered with blood and scars. Her head was spinning with the smell of burning rubber. She tried to seek for some oxygen but it was totally hopeless. The vision of her mother, who was laying in the car with a lot of blood on her head, soon became blurry. She called for her, but nothing happened, only the scream of people outside the cars replied to her. When Jocasta was about to pass out, she heard a cracking sound. Her dad used all his left strength to break the glass. He pushed her outside before the car fell off the cliff.

She stared at their last moment. Her dad was holding onto her dead mother as he looked at her. The look of love and sorry...

"No..."

Jocasta screamed but she couldn't make any sound. She realized she was now underwater.

"Um..."

She was running out of oxygen, which made her panic. Fortunately, the water wasn't as deep as she thought. She made it to the surface before her lungs gave out.

She gasped as she sat on the river bank. What happened? Jocasta asked herself. I was in the car waiting for Asher and then I heard an explosion. I heard broken glasses, Asher's screaming and some mixed sounds.

Jocasta looked around to find her friend.

"Asher!"

She called him many times, but he didn't reply. She didn't see him being here, either. Not just him. That was crazy. She couldn't see anyone or even the debris of that car. Everything looked strange. She was still facing the Haihe river, but the background was different from before. There were no buildings, no shopping malls, no restaurants, no people...Just like a wild area, with only a few old houses from far.

"What the hell?"

She cursed. Where is this place and why is she here? Is it heaven? Is she a ghost now?

Then, suddenly, she felt a gun pointing on her head, sending a shiver down her spine.

"Who sent you?"

She didn't understand Chinese, but due to the person's accent, she could tell he was not a native Chinese speaker.

"S...Sorry, I can't speak Chinese".

She said, tried not to shake in fear, which she thought might upset that person.

"Who sent you?" - That guy started to speak in English. - "Are you a member of Boxers?"

She was totally lost.

"I have no idea what you are talking about".

She said. Then, she felt his hand shaking a little bit, and she heard some mumbles in German. The guy must be in pain.

She slightly turned around and saw a strange figure, who was bleeding due to a terrible wound on his belly. He was absolutely not a human, although he had a normal body like her. His head was round, his face was the flag of German Empire. His eyes, nose, mouth, and ears were as normal as hers...However, his skin had the colors of the German Empire flag, red, black, and white.

"What are you looking at?"

He yelled with his thick German accent when he noticed she was staring at him. Jocasta was quick to say something before he pulled the trigger.

"Hey, calm down. I don't know what happened...but you're terribly wounded. You need to be treated". - She offered kindly. - "Let me help you. I have a first aid box".

Jocasta pointed at her cartable next to her. That was the only thing that came with her to this place.

The guy frowned. After some time, he gave a sign for her to do what she intended, but still pointed his gun at her.
