( POV: FALLON CROW )

The door opens, light instantly flowing in. I'm curled up into the corner of the room. My knees are pulled against my chest while my arms are tightly wrapped around my body.

It's incredibly cold in here. Especially at night.

I've been counting the days.

4 days. 96 hours. 345 600 seconds.

345 601, 345 602, 345 603, 345 604-

"I brought you your favorites." Deimos rudely interrupts me.

"I-" he notices how my voice breaks but I play it off. "I'm not hungry."

Deimos sighs as he crouches in front of me. "You need to eat. You need to take care of yourself."

"As if you care," I scoff.

"I do. More than anything else in this world."

"Then why am I locked in here?" I stare into those big soulless eyes of his, begging for some mercy.

"Baby, you can't play me."

"I'm not. I'm just so scared in here, Dei. You don't get it."

Okay, so I am playing him a little. But I desperately need to get out of here. I don't care how. I'm going crazy.

The voices and people return every night. They only disappear when Raze suddenly appears but that doesn't happen every time.

Deimos sets the plate aside and comes closer. His cold hands on my face cause me to flinch, "what's wrong?" He asks.

"Your hands are cold."

"Oh,"

He brings his hands to his mouth, forming a cup together, and blows on them.

He's being too gentle. I wonder what he has got up his sleeve.

When he cups my face again, I don't instantly want him to pull back. It's warm and his hands are oddly soft.

I hate him. He disgusts me.

But he's the only thing keeping me warm right now. I know he'll take this opportunity, he'll make use of it.

I subconsciously lean into his hand, I hear him inhale sharply in surprise.

"How is your wrist?"

I nod while my eyes start to close. The medic Deimos sent me is one from Aeden. He knows modern medicine and took care of me.

He even started some type of treatment to get rid of my scars. He's quite nice. But I may be biased, he looks like Sorin. It makes me feel a little safer.

"Fal, if you want to sleep I can go-"

"No, no, no!" I yell instantly. That seems to surprise him too.
