~ That night ~

Haley

“Sasha are you ready yet? We’re only going to the bowling alley. Why must you take so long?!” I was practically begging for her to hurry up.

“I’m coming I’m coming woman. I have to look good for my man!” then she laughed as if it was hilarious. I couldn’t believe we were friends.

A knock sounded at the door so I ran to go get it. I figured it was Gabriel since we were waiting for Jeremy to get out of class plus he had just texted me that he was on his way and that our friends Liam and Ivy were going to meet us over there. So when I opened it I said,

“Damn! You look good” and Laughed

“Well thank you! But I don’t think I look like anything special” the very familiar voice exclaimed.

I froze in my spot because that was so not the voice I was expecting. Blushing furiously I looked up to find Jeremy with an amused smile on his face. It was so not funny!

“I’m guessing that wasn’t meant me for huh?” he laughed and I glared. With a huff I turned around and walked away.

Sasha finally came out of her room. Talking nonsense as usual.

“So what are the rules again Haley?” She asked me. I ignored her. I so was not getting into this conversation with him standing in here.

“Haley” she screamed. I politely smiled and said, “Play nice”

“Good and why must you play nice?” she asked

“I don’t think you want me to answer that out loud because –” she abruptly cut me off and asked the question the again.

I looked at her trying to give her a signal to turn around and she wasn’t budging so I did what I do best. I took her and swung her around. I saved her from total embarrassment. Something that I can hold over forever and ever and ever Muahahahahahahahaha! Ahhhh! Pure victory. I smirked. She blushed and Jeremy looked amused. Eh! Works out for me. When Gabriel walking through the door he looked at all of us as though we were weird human beings.

“So what’s going on here?” Gabriel asked

I laughed and said, “Sasha, her rules and the reasons why. Gabriel this is Jeremy. Jeremy this is Gabriel.” I gestured. Gabriel grinned as he said hi to Jeremy. I practically fell over laughing on the ground while Sasha was trying to reprimand me for acting “unlady-like”. Pish posh has she recognized her stalker tendencies because those aren’t lady-like either. So I settled with just raising one eyebrow at her. Guess what? She got flustered. And I win again suckas!

“Let’s get out of here shall we?” I asked. Everyone nodded in agreement.

Jeremy

Haley’s group of friends were pretty chill and cool so I couldn’t figure out why she had so much attitude the first day I met her. Haley was beautiful sun-kissed skin, at least 5 feet 6 inches, plump lips, straight medium length – dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She was sight to look at. Trust me! Her best friend who is named Sasha is of a caramel skin color, 5 feet 6 inches in a half (Which apparently is a big thing for girls huh!), Long curly jet-black hair and light brown eyes. They are both exquisite! But I seem to find myself drawn to Haley more and I can’t figure out why. I also met her friends Gabriel, Liam and Ivy who somewhat looks like Sasha except she has hazel green eyes (I think she mentioned that her eyes change colors). I had a lot fun playing bowling with them. It was girls against guys and of course we won! Not by a lot but my ego isn’t complaining! We all ended up going to Applebee’s right after to hangout and chat. Or more like….

“You guys definitely cheated in bowling!” Haley said.

“We didn’t, you girls are just sore losers” Gabriel responded and stuck his tongue out at her. Liam and I laughed at her and the other girls.

“Man I don’t believe that for one second but lets talk about something else” Ivy hinted. Why I had a feeling she was going down an unfriendly topic wasn’t good AT ALL.

“So…Jeremy are you like into Hayley?” Ivy asked

“OMG do you like Hayley…if you did...oh this is amazing!!!” Sasha exclaimed.

“If you two don’t quit…you will regret it!” Hayley growled

“Um, she’s a nice person” I responded. I really didn’t know what to say I mean we don’t really get along. Yes I find her attractive and someone I probably would have pursued if it were under different circumstance. Consider tonight for example, if I would have met her tonight at Applebee’s I would’ve said to myself

“Look at that honey over there, skin tight jeans, curvy hips, light green flowy shirt vivacious breast, beautiful hazel eyes and she has long legs I have just hit the jackpot tonight!”

but I didn’t meet her tonight and I don’t WANT to pursue her. At least not after the way she treated me attitude changes everything.

“Come on Jeremy just nice…I’m sure when you first met her you thought she was something more than just nice? Right? Remember I’m not asking you about when she opened her mouth I’m talking about before! Because I know she said something” Ivy giggled.

“HEY!!” Haley yelled in mock outrage. The whole table laughed.

To save myself from future assassinations from Haley I simply said, “I plead the fifth”

“Oh come on! Give us something better than that man!” They all yelled. Even the guys.

“Can’t man…I refuse to be the next murder victim” I replied

“I knew you were somewhat smart” Haley smirked and replied.

“And you see Haley this is why you will always be lonely” Sasha. The table went eerily quiet. I was too afraid to say something and the look Haley was giving Sasha was murderous. Sasha seemed to be frightened and I was frightened for her. For the rest night of there was nothing but an awkward silence and a deafening tension sitting in the room. So I took that as my clue to leave.

“So…um I will see you tomorrow Haley and it was nice meeting you guys. I had a fun night.” I said. I bid my adieu and left.
