Chapter 2: That girl is smoking

Leo's pov

I sat in Bunker 9 thinking up another way to get to Calypso's island. After almost a year, I still couldn't find her.

I hid it from the rest of the 7, but I was heartbroken. I was still determined to find her. 

"LEO!" Piper called.

"AH" I fell out of my chair. "For real Pipes?"

"Sorry, but Jason and I have been calling you for such a long time." My best friend shrugged.

"...."

"...."

"Why were you looking for me?"

"Oh right. W-" Jason cut her off.

"We have a new camper." I must have looked confused, after all we get new campers often so it's not a big surprise. "Ok but," he said like he read my thoughts. "She's awesome you should've seen her. She killed two hellhounds by herself....with a stick!" Jason said.

"Yeah!" Piper continued. I was surprised I thought Piper would have been jealous based on the way Jason was talking about this girl.  "I think I'm going to get another sister. Y'know that can actually fight." 

We all laughed and I got up from my chair. We ran towards the infirmary and ran into Annabeth along the way. She looked up with her startling gray eyes. She glared at me for bumping into her and I took a few steps back. She was scary.

"Where are you guys going?" the scary blonde turned to Piper.

"There's a new camper, so we thought we would go check her out" I said and as soon as the words came out of my mouth I blushed. 

The others rolled their eyes and Jason went to get Hazel and Frank. Percy was on a quest, so he would have to wait to see the new girl.

The rest of us ran into the infirmary, which was crowded by a bunch of demigods.

I stood on my toes trying to see the girl, but with no luck. Annabeth dragged me around and I gasped, putting my hand on the bed the girl was laying in.

Now I see what Piper meant by getting a new sister. This girl was gorgeous. She had Y/h/l (Your hair length), h/c (Hair color) hair. It was in a tight pony-tail. She was about the same height as me. (If you are taller or shorter then 5'6 you can change that). She was maybe 16 or 17. She had a gash on her forehead and multiple scratches on her body from what was most likely twigs. 

She was asleep and she was snoring softly. Her ankle was wrapped in gauze, but you could still see some blood seeping through. 

"Leo you're staring" I heard the smirk in Piper's voice. 

"I-um-uuuuhhhhh" I felt myself heat. 

"AHH! LEO!" Will ran towards me with water. I had set the bed on fire and the girl's arm was smoking. 

"Stop being dramatic, it was just a tiny flame." I rolled my eyes.

"AH!" The girl woke up with a startle as Will threw water on her. She glared at him for a good 30 seconds until she turned her attention to us. 

"Oh good you're alive-I mean awake" Chiron wheeled in on his wheelchair. "I am-"

"Chiron!" The girl, who we still didn't know the name said with surprise.

Chiron stared at the girl with surprise. 

"Y-yes" Chiron said. "And who are you?"

The girl flushed, "I'm y/n" She smiled looking around at the rest of the campers, but the more she looked around the more she paled and looked scared.
