Chapter 12: The Start of the Last Day of School.

Y/n's pov

It's been 2 days since Leo and I had our first official date and 3 days since Chiron declared who was going on the quest that started today: Jason, Percy, Piper, Annabeth, Frank, Hazel, and Leo who were the original 7. Three more people were to accompany them: Me (Since I was in the prophecy), Nico (Because he has helped out a lot and he could be helpful with shadow traveling), and of course....Will (Because we may need a medic). I liked everyone that was coming, except Will.

We both hated each other, but everyone one loved Will, except for me and two other people: Nico (After they broke up Nico was devastated) and Leo (For reasons unknown to me.)

Once we got ready, we all climbed aboard the newest version of the Argo, the Argo III, and the quest began.

"So Y/n do you have a clue to where Drew may be?"

Oh right Drew. I totally forgot about her. "It was dark and dusty, but you could feel the heat. And I think there was sand. Oh also there was a river. I could feel it." 

Then it dawned on me and Annabeth. "Egypt"

"Wait why Egypt?" My twin, who was still miffed that I came on this 'dangerous' quest, asked Annabeth.

"Well that's describing Egypt and the water must be the Nile River. Not to mention that Egypt is where Y/n shadow traveled so there must be a connection." Annabeth explained.

We all agreed on Egypt as our next destination and were getting ready for bed when we realized a slight issue. The Argo III was built with only 7 cabin rooms and there was 10 of us plus Coach Hedge, a satry.

Obviously Coach got a room to himself, but that still left 10 of us and 6 rooms. "Ook so who's bunking?" Jason asked. 

"If I shared with Annabeth, Coach would give us kitchen duty for a month and he says Y/n and I would get in to too much trouble together. Sorry" But Percy didn't seem that sorry. He went to his cabin without looking back. 9 people 5 rooms. 

"Well Nico and I could share one" Hazel said. Nico nodded and they left. 

7 people 4 rooms. 

"Jason and I can share one too" Piper said.

"I kinda need space because if all my stuff" Annabeth said, talking about her desk in her room.

4 people 2 rooms.

Frank, Will, Leo and I just stood there awkwardly. After what felt like forever I got bored and read their minds. 

Frank: Well this is awkward. I would rather share with Y/n, but that would leave Leo and Will, Not good. Y/n and Will? Even worse. 

Leo: Oh gods it'll be me or Y/n stuck with Solace if it's not Frank.

I didn't even bother reading Will's because I'll literally just hear crickets.

I grabbed Leo's hand without the other two noticing and slipped into the shadows, to mine and Leo's new cabin. Leo ran to the corner and threw up. "You really should stop doing that." I smiled innocently and Leo glared at me playfully.

"So if you want I can take the floor." he said. 

"Thanks Leo" I smiled at him. 

"Anytime."

An hour later~

"I can't sleep" I mumbled into my pillow. 

"Neither can I. You wanna play a game?" Leo propped himself up on his elbow. 

"20 questions?"

"Sure."

"Ok so Chiron taught me something cool, so you ask me first and then I'll show you." I said, excited to show off my new skill.

"Ok, what school do you go to?" Leo asked. I grabbed his hand and pictured a vivid memory from my school.

"What- Where are we?" Leo asked. 

"At my school. I took a memory and brought us here. It's kind of like teleportation, but I need to have a memory of the place before I can go there. So right now we are at my school and it looks like class is starting, so I guess it's time to go."

Leo groaned.

I shrugged and walked to my first class which Leo followed me to. "So first class I have is Science with Ms. Ober, who turned out to be a monster so there's supposed to be a substitute, but it's the last day of school so it's basically a free for all."

Leo pretended to take notes and I shook my head, "You're an idiot Valdez." I laughed.

"But I'm your idiot!" He smiled running to catch up with me.

I blushed and we continued to class. A bunch of people were staring at me and I had no reason why.

"Hey where's the bathroom? I forgot to go on the Argo." Leo said sheepishly. I told him which way to go and he left.

"Oh look guys it's the nerd." My enemy, Britney Mckay, said. 

"I'm not a nerd, I'm just smarter then you." I shot back.

"You know just because you got a new look doesn't mean boys are going to like you right? You actually need to have a personality for that."

"You know I was thinking of you today. It reminded me to take out the trash." I snarled.

Britney scoffed, "You know you've been the same pathetic, ugly, stupid girl for the past 16 years and you're never going to change. If you think any different, I think the mental hospital tested too many drugs on you today." 

I stormed inside the class with tears in my eyes. She was right. I wasn't ever going to change. I turned around to see something burned into me. 

Leo.

Britney.

K i s s i n g.

I ran outside, where it was raining. Leo, my boyfriend, was kissing Britney, my enemy. The boy I thought could help me. The boy I thought would never leave me. They didn't even know each other! This had to be a dream. That was the only explanation. During 20 questions I must have fallen asleep. 

I tripped and then I realized it wasn't a dream. I was awake. And the kiss actually happened.

"Y/n? Where have you been?! I've been worried sick! And then I see you crying in the rain?! What happened?" I turned to face my best friend, Josh.

"J-Josh?"

He hugged me, "You need to explain everything, but not now because there's something behind you."

I turned around and groaned, "Not you again." A hellhound was glaring at me. It was the same one that ran away my first day at camp. "Wait you can see that?!"

He nodded, "What is it?!" 

"It's called a hellhound and I'll explain everything later."

"Everything?" 

"Everything"
