Mistakes - yamaguchi

You sat on the sidelines, watching Karasunos volleyball team practice. Your eyes seemed to always find their way back to one player, Tadashi Yamaguchi.

The two of you had been friends for some time now, and you could help falling for him, yams is sweet and caring, of course he can be an anxious mess at times... but who isn't?

Your only problem was trying to figure out how he felt about you, there were plenty of times he blushed or stuttered while talking to you, but Yamaguchi also blushed and stuttered when he tried to order coffee.

And Yamaguchi of course was completely oblivious to your feelings for him. Yams was so used to the other members of the club getting attention, he had always gone under the radar, and he figured it would be the same with you.

You decided that the best idea would be to talk to Tsukki, he was never one for dating but still had more than a reasonable number of fangirls at the school. And being yamaguchi's best friend he'd have to know if Yams had feelings for you.

As the game came to an end, you approached Tsukki.

"Hey salty, I need a favor."

"What do you want?"

"Does yama... have feelings for anyone?"

"Uh... I don't know, Ask him yourself."

"Are you crazy?! I could never ask yamaguchi that! If he didn't feel the same I'd be mortified."

You quickly realized that you had just admitted your feelings, and covered your mouth with your hands. Taking notice of tsukkishimas smirk.

"Ah, so that's what this is about. Well I'm not sure how he feels about you, he doesn't talk much about those things. But if I had to guess you've probably got a shot with him."

'This is uncharacteristically nice for Tsukki. It's kinda creeping me out.'

"Thank you Tsukki! I'll bring you strawberry shortcake tomorrow if you promise to help me out with this when you can!"

Tsukki stopped to think for a moment, it sounded like a hassle, but he decided to agree since he knew you were a talented baker.

"Yeah fine."

Yamaguchi watched from the other side of the court as you talked to Tsukki, he never thought you liked him back, but damn it hurt to see you with possible feelings for someone else.

[time skip//next day]

As you reached the school, you ducked into the boys morning practice to bring Tsukki his shortcake, luckily they were already done playing.

"Hey Tsukki! Here you go, as promised!"

You walked out of the gym after handing Tsukki the cake, taking a moment to smile and wave to Yamaguchi before you went to class.

Yamaguchi forced a weak smile in response and watched you leave, then approached Tsukkishima.

"Hey Tsukki, what'd she give you?"

"Oh it's strawberry shortcake. That idiot is a surprisingly good cook."

"O-oh nice..."

Yamaguchi quickly found a reason to leave the gym, making his way to a mostly empty hallway to think.

'She likes Tsukki right? And Tsukki does have lots of fangirls... maybe it's because he's so sarcastic all the time, I could try acting like that...'
