Authors note: this one shot is not only my celebration for 69 followers (....... Nice) but also a request from ThatDorkyIntrovert for a short reader and some fluffy cuddling! It'll be full of dumb and immature jokes because that's how hot people write fanfiction!
Also like I'm 5'11 so pardon if I can't write a short reader too well! 😳 ~OwlBee

You let out an annoyed groan "yuu I don't want to go to school today! Can we skip? Just the first class at least?"
Noya just giggled in response. "Nope we already skipped class four times this month! Daichi said he'll suspend me from club if I do it again..."
Noya intertwined his hand with yours, knowing it would cheer you up at least a little.

The walk to school wasn't all that long but you were tired after a long night of cyberbullying racists and homophobes in Instagram comment sections. Of course noya knew exactly what that meant. His girlfriend being tired always lead to a day of her being an absolute menace to society. Though noya truly wouldn't have it any other way.

"Do you have club after school today yuuyuu?"
"I don't! Also... yuuyuu?" Noya gave you a strange look along with that last part.
You smirked at the boy. "Alright then let's watch movies at my place after school! And I thought it was a cute nickname!"
Noya laughed. "arent nicknames usually shorter than someone's actual name?"
"Not if I have anything to do with it!" You giggled.

A moment of silence followed, although as always you managed to fill silences before anything became awkward. That was probably your specialty. There was never an awkward pause because you always had more thoughts to share.
"Okay wait so you told me that people assume you're just a Libero because you're short right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"If you're short... what the fuck am I?!"
Noya chuckled. "Microscopic."
"Hey!" You pouted
"Sorry love, did I lie though?"
You grumbled in response. "Shut it"

You sat in class, having tuned out the teachers voice. 'I stopped paying attention to math the moment they tried to teach me long division. I'm not gonna understand any of this even if I did try!'
Though one part of the lesson did manage to reach you. That was the teacher using the number "69".
you somehow successfully forced yourself not to laugh. Until she said it again...

you looked around the room to see if anyone else noticed, and of course made eye contact with noya. Making the both of you burst into a fit of laughter.
The teacher, Mrs. yanagi, walked in front of your desks. "L/n, nishinoya, what is so funny that you had to interrupt my teaching?"
You took a few deep breaths to compose yourself and gave the teacher an amused grin. "Okay so like... I wasn't really paying attention to anything you said but I heard '69' so y'know...." Your speech was momentarily cut off by the return of your laughter. "Nice."

Mrs. Yanagi, clearly now annoyed. Moved her gaze to noya. "and what about you nishinoya? We're you at least listening to the lesson?" Of course you already knew the answer to that. And noya, being the absolute ride or die that he was, didn't lie.
"Well... would it be a complete lie if I said I was listening? Yes. It absolutely would be. But would it also be super cool if you didn't give us detention for it? Definitely 100%."
You put a hand over your mouth to cover your laugh.

Mrs. Yanagi closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. "Detention for both of you after school in Mr. maruyama's class. I'll let him know to expect the two of you. As she turned to walk away, you smirked at noya. Reaching out your hand to fist bump him. He returned, muttering "...nice..." which made you chuckle again.
"L/n are you looking to get another day of detention."
"Heh, nope that'd suck!" You mused
"Then quiet down."

This wasn't new at all... Mrs yanagi has hated you since the beginning of the year. Mostly because you couldn't help yourself when a joke pops into your head. It started in the first week of school.
It was only the fourth day of your second year and you half-listened to Mrs. yanagi talking about some project coming up, hearing her say the following. "I expect you all do well on this project. It's incredibly simple and easy to do." And of course any reasonable person would would have said the same thing you did! "Your mom is incredibly simple and easy to do!" Granted you probably shouldn't have yelled it... she still shouldn't hold a grudge! It was funny!

"Alright school is out for the day, L/n and nishinoya please make your way to mr. maruyamas class."
As the two of you walked out of the classrooms you looked over to noya. "So... daichi said you couldn't skip school, right?" You asked.
"Yeah, why?" He replied
A smirk grew on your face. "Did he say anything about skipping detention?"
Noya stopped to think for a moment before looking at you with a smile. "I don't recall him specifying that!"

You grasped noyas wrist and started running through the halls, wanting to get through before your mrs. Yanagi or mr. maruyama noticed anything.
"Woah y/n slow down! You're like 2 ft tall how are you this strong?!" Noya laughed.
"I'm 4'11!" You yelled, still pulling the boy behind you.

Once the two of you were far enough from school, you stopped running and caught your breath. "We made it! Crimes!" You beamed, lifting your hand in the air.
"Crimes!" Noya replied with a laugh, softly high fiving you.
"Pfft- that was weak! Try again!"
Noya high fived you much harder this time, leaving a sting on your hand. "Ow! Awesome! Okay let's keep running!"
Noya chuckled at your seemingly endless energy, even when just this morning you claimed to be so tired you couldn't make it to class.

Eventually you made it back home. Settling down to watch a movie. Noya had his arms wrapped around your waist, his head nuzzled in the crook of your neck. It didn't take long at all for you to doze off.
'I guess you really were tired...' noya thought. 'That's alright, get lots of sleep... you menace.'
