Firework- terushima

You sat on the porch of your backyard, letting cool night air brush past your face. The summer heat had been hitting rather hard recently, making you want to savor any and all cold you could get.
Your serenity was broken quite harshly by the ringing of a phone.

'Hm? Who's calling this late?'

Glancing down at your phone, you were ecstatic to see the caller.

'Teru!'

Terushima yuji, a real firework personified... he was excitable, impulsive, a little stupid, and one of the most lovable people you've ever known.
Answering the phone, you tried to calm your racing heart.

"Hey teru, what's up?"

"Y/n!! Where are you right now?!"

"My backyard... why?"

"Yes! That's perfect! Don't move an inch, ok?!"

"Uh... alright?"

You immediately heard the call ending beep from the other side. terushima seemed quite exited about something... you weren't exactly sure what.

Since you had met teru, The two of you had quite a confusing friendship... you had a rather flirty conversational repertoire, a few weeks ago the two of you had almost kissed when he walked you home, unfortunately that was interrupted by your father opening the front door.

'My parents are out of town right now... at least that can't happen again.'

You sat in peace for a few more moments, until hearing a voice from your neighbors yard.

"Y/N!!"

'Oh god... don't tell me-'

You looked up just in time to see terushima flying over your back fence, then running up to you with a bright smile.

"Teru what the fuck?! You went in my neighbors back yard??"

"Correction, I went through several neighbors back yards! And almost got bitten by a very angry small dog!"

"..... what the hell am I supposed to do with you?"

Terushima smirked, leaning a bit closer to you. "Want me to start listing things dear?"
You hardly had a moment to reply before teru wrapped his arms around you.

"I missed you N/n, summer sucks... I never thought I'd actually miss school."

You let out a soft laugh, terushima might have been a high energy fuckboy, but he was definitely a softie at times.

"Teru, we went to the beach like a week and a half ago."

"Shhh, you know you missed me too!"

"Not wrong..."

Teru pulled away, flashing you his usual smirk.

"Hey N/n! guess what!!"

"What?"

Something about terushimas excitement worried you... he had something stupid planned, luckily for him you were just as much of an idiot.

"Ok so... have you heard of the Fourth of July?"

"Uh... that's the American holiday right? Where they set off a bunch of fireworks to celebrate their ancestors being dicks and yoinking land?"

"Yeah! Fireworks! I got a bunch from my cousins friend!!"

'Oh no...'

"Problem is... I don't have a back yard soooo...."

"You want to light off fireworks in my yard?"

"Exactly!"

"..... you're so lucky that I love fireworks."

"So... yes?"

"Obviously!"

Terushima had a goofy smile, He was clearly exited about illegal behavior.

Teru happily pulled fireworks from his bag, the two of you spent about half an hour setting off the smaller ones, finally Teru lit up a really big one, sitting next to you on the porch and wrapping his arm around you.

'He's warm...'

You leaned into him a bit more, resting your head on his shoulder.
Brightly colored sparks flew into the air, painting the space in front of you with a mirage of pinks and oranges. The smell of sulfur from the fireworks mixed with the delicate scent of the summer air.

"Y/n..."

"Mhm?"

"Your parents aren't home right?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't let you set off illegal fireworks in my yard if they were."

"So... we can't be interrupted this time?"

Before you got the chance to ask what he meant, he had leaned in front of you, stopping just before he met your lips.

"Can I..."

You gave terushima a smirk, closing the distance rather than answering.

"You can." You mumbled as you pulled away.

Teru let out a soft hum, wrapping one arm your waist, his other hand gently set on your face, pulling you back towards him.

He bit your bottom lip softly, slowly sliding his hand down your back.

"Aah- slow down yuji, at least ask me out on a date first~"

Teru gave you a soft smile, resting his forehead against yours.

"I like hearing you use my first name."

"Heh... well lucky for you, I like using your first name."

You turned back towards the firework which was now finished. Leaning back against terushimas chest.

"So y/n, tell me, what do I have to do to make you mine."

"Hmmm... a date, no fuckboy bullshit though! A real date."

"You've got it! I'll make you fall in love with me, fuckboy or not."

"Not, definitely not."

"Alright alright, I'll be a complete gentleman... if you let me do one thing first."

"Hmm... deal"

Teru smirked, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind, Leaning forward to kiss your neck, then pressing his cold tongue piercing against your skin.

Lurching forward, you turned and glared at terushima, simply getting a smile in return.

"Why did I have to fall for someone so chaotic."

"Oh you know you love it."

"One again, not wrong."

You leaned back against teru, grabbing his hand and intertwining your fingers with his. Feeling him slightly squeeze your hand.

"Thanks for today... yuji~"

Teru blushed slightly at your usage of his first name.

"Of course, darling~"
