Forever and always - suga

Authors note: I've been playing omori and some of the themes in the game put this scenario into my head so obviously I had to write it! If you've played the game let me know ^-^ I haven't finished it yet but so far I've really really loved the game!
Also this is probably the closest I've ever written to psychological horror so let me know what you think! It's probably my favorite genre so I'd like to write more of it!

[april, 2013 // monday morning]

You walked down the street on your way to school. Something felt so off about today.
'Where am I even going? I can't remember the last time I attended high school... something is wrong. This is all wrong."
Though the confused thoughts left your mind as you were jolted back to reality, whatever reality you were in at least.
You had tripped over a rock while walking. A boy wearing your schools uniform seemed to have seen the ordeal, approaching you with his hand out.

"Hey are you alright?" A beautifully soft voice asked you. His tone was so comforting. It made you feel safe. It almost brought back memories that you hadn't yet made.
'That voice... I've heard him before. I can't seem to recall when.'
"Uh yes... I'm fine." You took the boys hand and let him help you up. Now getting a clearer look at his face. "This might sound strange but do I know you?" You asked "I just feel like I recognize you. Your voice too..." what was this feeling? Something was missing... something was so wrong.

The boys smile shifted for only a moment, but you could see the difference. He looked pained. His bright smile was hiding so much hurt. But just as quickly as his expression shifted, it was back. He looked happy as ever, like nothing could bring him down. "I'm sorry, I don't think we've met before. Maybe you just recognize me from somewhere!" He chuckled. "I'm sugawara koushi! What's your name?"
"L/n F/n."
"Very nice to meet you L/n!"
'Why is he using my last name? No... it would be weirder if he used my first name right? We've never even met."

"Suga hurry up! We're gonna be late for class!" A strict voice came from behind sugawara. The voice of who you could only assume was his friend.
"I gotta get going L/n! I'll Seeya in a few days!" Sugawara ran off to meet with his friends.
"Yeah... see you."
'He seemed nice but... "Seeya in a few days." Why would he phrase it that way? Such a odd thing for a stranger to say.'

You brushed the peculiar boy out of your mind as best you could, and continued walking to school. Though something felt off.
'Just before I ran into him... I was asking myself something. What was it? Why can't I remember? ... maybe it wasn't all that important."
The world around you seemed to flicker out into darkness. Though it felt normal. Nothing is wrong... this is all normal.

[april, 2013 // Thursday morning]

You woke up and got dressed for school. Checking off the new day in your calendar. 'Thursday huh? But wasn't it Monday just a moment ago... and this house. It's mine isn't it? It's been so long since I've been here.' Before heading to school you took time to wander your old home. 'Old home... it isn't my old home is it? I still live here. I've always lived here...'

Eventually you finished looking around and stepped out the front door. Now on the school campus. A feeling of unease washed over you. You quickly twisted around to see that your house was no longer there. You were standing in front of the school.
'Did I walk all the way here and forget? I thought I just left the house... I must have zoned out.'

The next thing you knew, the lunch bell had rung. 'The day is going by so quickly... I only got here a few minutes ago didn't I?'
You walked to your usual lunch spot. Nobody else was there... 'where are my friends? I can't seem to remember who my friends back then even were. Wait... back then? Wha-'
Before you could question things any more, someone approached you. The same boy you had met just three days prior.
