Feverish- Kuroo

[Authors notes: Here's my kuroo one shot for the request from kagesblueberryeyes !
And because they asked me to tag them when I posted this one shot Jordynismyname thank you for reading!
This is gonna be partially a textfic because they're fun to write!]

'Staying home all day is so damn boring... stupid fever!'
A ping sounded from your phone. You excitedly hopped up. Glad somebody finally got the chance to text you, even at school.

Kuroocat: what ever happened to "I never get sick" dear?

Y/n: oh shut up tetsurou I'm dying here

Kuroocat: yikes... good luck love! Don't die please, I don't want to be single <3
Kuroocat: oh and don't forget to eat and drink lots of water, take care of yourself dummy!

Y/n: .....
Y/n: I don't feel like cooking 😳 I'll drink water though!

Kuroocat: I-
Kuroocat: I'll be over after school to cook for you, I have to go back to class before the teacher murders me though!

Y/n: thank you darling! Love you!!

Kuroocat: love you too <3

Kuroo tetsurou, a total science nerd, completely volleyball obsessed, and your boyfriend of the last two years! Things with tetsurou were pretty much ideal... he was a genuinely good person. people always seem to think that the "scheming captain" of nekoma's volleyball team would be some kind of cheater or player... But they couldn't be more wrong!

He was never the type to beat around the bush which you really appreciated. He wasn't confusing or hard to figure out. He wore his heart on his sleeve, always staying honest and true to himself. And as a boyfriend he was absolutely wonderful!sweet and affectionate but always carful to never make you uncomfortable. If you weren't ready for something he was happy to wait and never once pressured you to do anything... he really was perfect!

You couldn't seem to get your mind off of the boy all day. So you were of course ecstatic when he said he'd be coming over today. Although you were also overcome with a bit of worry...
'Should I put makeup on..?'
It wasn't like your appearance was drastically different without makeup or anything. But you always had at least light makeup on at school... and being sick didn't exactly improve your appearance.

You stood up, hoping to get some bb cream on at least before kuroo arrived. Although you definitely underestimated how soon he would be here...
'Was I thinking about him way longer than I thought or is he here early??'
You approached the door, opening it to see kuroo smiling sweetly.

"Hey darling!" He beamed

"Hey catboy." You replied with a chuckle "you're here early, no practice today?"

"Oh I definitely tried to practice... as soon as I said you were sick the guys told me not to worry about it and said I should go take care of you!"

"In that case I'll have to thank them" you smiled

Kuroo seemed to stop for a moment. Staring at you in silence.

'Damn maybe I really should have put makeup on... I probably look so dull!'

"You look so beautiful Chibi-Chan! I always look like a living corpse when I'm sick but you're still glowing!"
You were a bit taken aback at first. 'I really did strike gold with this one...'

"I love you... damn catboy"
Kuroo simply replied with a close eyed smile and a gentle "I love you too patient zero"

Kuroo cooked your favorite food, his cooking was quite a lot better than you'd might expect! The two of you chatted like normal for a while, with kuroo making sure you were drinking lots of water. The boy walked up to the couch and kneeled down in front of you. Tilting his head a bit as he looked at you. Without warning he reached out, resting the back of his hand against your forehead.
"Your fever has gone down a bit... hopefully you'll be back at school soon. Only a day of this and I can't stand being apart from you."

"You are so mellow dramatic sometimes" you giggled, running your hand through his hair. He leaned into the touch. He really was like a cat sometimes... after a moment he moved his head forward, resisting it against yours.
"Can I..."
"You'll get sick dummy."
"Worth it." He spoke softly...
You gave the boy a sweet laugh "alright..."

Maybe it was because you were feverish and foggy brained... but you could have sworn that kiss cured your sickness for a moment.

Y/n: are you late to school again?

Kuroocat: I may have gotten sick....

Y/n: is it still worth it?

Kuroocat: of course!

Y/n: you dork... I'll be over to cook for you later, don't die loser!

Kuroocat: wouldn't dream of it love
