Parte Sixteen: Sorry Door

Thankfully, we do not have to run for long before we swing by the Better Buy. Bobby has been dying to go here ever since we've decided to look for survivors because his father works here. Not only that, but he was working alone here the day everything went crazy. Bobby said that his father usually put in a lot of shifts working here with the computers. It always left big spaces between the words in his emails.

We circle around to the back of the building. Joop takes out his crowbar (graciously supplied by the Gobblebrims) and uses it as a life to open the garage door in the back. After a few tries of trying to creak the metal door open, he finally manages to make a hole big enough for people to crawl through, we begin to enter one by one.

Crawling under the small space hurts. Under my breathe I mutter, "Poopy" in frustration. I usually don't have such a potty mouth. But I'm still frustrated from what happened earlier. I turn to look at the hole I crawled out of. "I'm sorry for my potty mouth, garage door. Its not you're fault I'm angry" I whisper to the door. I know its just a door, but its always a good habit to appreciate everything around you.

"Hey Martin! Stop flirting with the door and come look!" Jessica says to me. I follow her voice and find the others. They are all gaping at what has happened to the store.

Inside the store, every single piece of equipment has been piled into a giant fort in the center of the building. "Dad? Dad?!" Bobby shouts. After the second shout from Bobby, a small thick man with an even thicker pair of glasses walks outside from the pile of technology. "Son!" He cries. Bobby runs to his father and embraces him.

They're crying in each others arms. I would be lying if I said that their embrace wasn't even a little bit heart warming.

"I've missed you so much!" Bobby's dad cries, "Its been so lonely having to hide here all alone!" These words sting my ears. I don't even bother to bring up whether or not he has seen my beloved Aunt.

Bobby's father eventually let's go of his son and waves to everyone, "Hi! I'm Bobby Sr. I believe I've meet some of you." Joop smiles at him and briefly fills him in with our situation.

Afterwards, Bobby Sr. explained how he had been hiding in his technology fort ever since everything went cold. "I grabbed everything I could and piled it up big like this. I hoped it would be able to protect me from the goblins peering through the windows. That and after working here for 20 years I've always wanted to build a giant fort out of everything."

Joop butted in, "Okay. Quickly get any ration you might need. We need to hurry back to the camp so we can meet the others"

As soon as Joop says this, the fire alarm suddenly goes off and we become soaked in freezing water...
