The takeoff was smooth, yet frightening. Avery and I both share a fear of being a few thousand feet in the air with no control. We gripped each other's hands in a death lock until we were flying high in the blue, cloudless sky. We got a few stare once we started screaming, but when Avery started to sing, everyone turned away, probably thinking we belonged to a crazy institute or something.
“ It's all good!” She said, bobbing along to the headphones in her ears.
“ You're singing really loud, Aves.”
“ What?” She screamed.
I pulled the headphone out of her ear, making her cringe with pain. “Too loud.” I repeated.
She looked around the cabin, mouthing sorry with her hands bouncing up and down in the air.
“ How much further?” She said, child like.
“ We just took off!” I copied her tone, whimpering like a four year old.
“ I know, but really. How much longer until Philly?” She said in her not-kidding face.
“ You are such a Texan... Philly.” I shook my head and looked at the flight schedule in my hands.
“ About twenty-four hours.” I smiled, knowing that she would be sleeping on me tonight, just as she had in the bus.
“ Dang. Well, better pull out my pillow pet, then. And my laptop... and my nook, and phone, oh! And I never ate my snack for the bus...”
“ Geez, Aves. One thing at a time!” I said, watching her pull out all of the contents in her bag.
“ Well, I can't just not have everything.” I looked at her with disbelief.
“ So you want everything?” I whispered, seductively in her ear.
She shivered, bringing a smile to my face. “ Is that a threat or a promise?” She whispered back.
Her lips met mine, and stayed there for a few moments. She moved back in her seat, letting me closer so I wouldn't be making out with her in front of everyone. I lifted the arm rest up and scooted over, sitting right next to her. I pulled her legs up on my lap, leaning her over and moving with her every move.
“ Not here...” She whispered after a while. “ Tomorrow. I promise.” She pecked my lips once more and laid down, still spread across my lap. What was that? Did she really just promise to give herself to me on a schedule? I don't care how long we've known each other. I wasn't just about to take up her offer like that. I still had a gentleman sense left in me. I honestly hadn't even thought about sex. Yeah, we were close, but I love her. I'm not going to take advantage of her. She is worth so much more than twenty minutes in bed. Over my dead body would I let herself give her body to me on command.
I kissed her nose and sat back up. I pulled her blanket over her feet and set her pillow pet under her head.
“ Sweet dreams, Aves.”
She crinkled her nose up and turned until she was comfortable, ending up on her side, wedged into my side with her head in my lap. I replayed the last tree days in my mind, not wanting to forget the time Aves finally took me as hers. I drifted off, not a care in the world.

“ You really are beautiful when you sleep.” I cooed to Avery as she woke up.
“ Ha, you're funny.” She refused to think she was beautiful.
“ No really. You mess your hair up and have that dark circle around your eyes. It really is stunning.”
“ Shut up. How much longer until we land?” She laughed, blush rising.
“ Uh...About five hours. Then we have the eight hour flight to Madrid. Then the hour ride to Lisbon. ” We both looked out of the tiny window our right. Everything was pitch black, being two in the morning and all. She sighed, obviously wanting to be on the ground.
“ Just think of the jet lag!” She groaned and slammed her head into her hands.
“ Wanna play a road trip game? How about guess what I'm thinking and I'll give you a kiss?” I was just messing with her, but she took up my offer.
“ Food, airplanes, guitar, London. Give me a clue here!” She rattled off the top things that came off of her mind.
“ Nope. You have to guess.” I smirked at her.
“ Not fair! Okay, is it an inanimate object?”
I shook my head, giving in to her constant plea for clues. “ It has dimples and red hair. And the prettiest blue eyes any person could ever see.” I pretty much just gave her the answer.
“ Is it your dog, Molly?” She asked, oblivious.
“ Nope.”
“ Dang. I was looking forward to that kiss.” She smiled
“ Oh! Well, if it isn't your dog, then it has to be me!” She giggled, twirling her hair in one hand.
“ Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.”
“ So where's my kiss?” She tilted her head to the side and raised her eyebrows.
“ Close your eyes.” I instructed.
“ Uh, okay...” She said, uncertain.
I placed the silver wrapped joy in her hands, leaving her suspicious and confused.
“ Open your eyes.” She smiled and looked down at her two hands.
“ Ooh! I've been craving these for a while!” I think she was more excited for the chocolate kiss than she would have been for a real one. I chuckled at the thought.
“ I'm tired of sleeping. Will you sing to me?” She set her head down on my chest. I looked up and around to a cabin full of sleeping passengers.
“ But its two in the morn-”
“ I don't care. You have an amazing voice that you never share with me, and I want to hear it. You honestly don't think I hear you humming while you help me with chores? C'mon! Please?”
“ Alright. But no laughing.” She made an 'X' over her chest, indicating a promise.
I opened my mouth to sing, and did, but it didn't sound like me. It sounded a million times better.
“ At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.” I sang quietly, being courteous to the passengers close to us.
“ Where did you hear that song?” She asked, head still on my shoulder, close to my chest.
“ I wrote it.” She looked up at me in shock.
“ I had no clue that you wrote music. Can I hear another?” She asked. Cindy moved behind me, making me uncomfortable. She was my ex- girlfriend and I didn't feel comfortable sharing my soul with her.
“ Later tomorrow. We'll get settled in at the hotel and then I'll sing to you.” I kissed her forehead and focused on not waking Cindy up. I didn't want Avery to have anything to do with her. I didn't want to have anything to do with her... Ever again.
This next chapter, you're gonna have to start paying attention to who the point of view is from. It will say at the top where the chapter names should be.
Sorry I'm writing kinda slow. I have school and a few other stories going on, plus I get distracted ALOT! The begining was sorta slow, but these next few chapters are what pick the whole story up! Thanks for reading and I hope you like it <3
