“ Where the hell have you been?” Becca's voice chattered. I didn't listen to her, though. Her voice sounded muffled and just unimportant. This time Ed and I weren't drunk. Or high. And we just... we just had sex in a cave!

I paced the hotel room, wondering what to do.

“ Seriously, Avery. Where have you been? I had to cover for you. Evens thinks you're sick.” She sounded hurt and under a lot of pressure.

“ Sorry. I went back to talk to Ed, but he offered to show me the city. I took his offer, and- we went to see the London eye...”

“ I feel like there's something you're not telling me.” Becca and I had became fast friends, and since the big mess with Collin, she became my best friend.

“ Ed and I-” I motioned with my hands as a little kid would do. “ You know...”

“ You had sex with him?” She paused and looked at me. “ Again?” I sat down on my bed and played with the phone in my hands.

“ Yeah...” I said. I wasn't ashamed or anything... That's what's scary. He's a complete stranger, and I'm pretty sure I love him. Whatever love is.

“ Okay. So now what?” She asked. I distracted myself, trying to avoid the interrogation standing right in front of me.

“ Don't tell...” I begged.

“ I haven't yet, have I?” She smiled and patted my back.

“ No... Okay, I'm starving. Like really...” We both broke out in laughter. We only have two days left in London, and I haven't really tried European food... I have no clue if it's even different.

“ Let's go sneak a snack, then.” I grabbed my phone and ran out of the door, following Becca to the elevator.

The ride was short and thirty seconds later, we were playing ninja to get to the diner.

“ What can I get you, love? The waiter asked with a big smile in his face.

“ What's the best thing here?” Since the school trip is being paid for by the learning facility here in Europe, meals were free to us, therefore, I can order anything I wanted and not get charged for it.

“ I personally like the Bangers and Mash. You're American, right?” I nodded my head and he went on. “ You'll love it then. It's a mix of mash potatoes and sausage.” My mouth watered at the image.

“ I'll have that!” I said quickly as I snapped my menu shut.

“ Me too.” Becca said politely.

“ Coming right up.” He smiled and walked off to the kitchen to place our orders. He was about twenty. He had a shaved head with the slightest hint of brown hair and a brown stubble on his face.

About a half hour later, he brought the food back out. That's when I noticed his eyes. They were amazing.

“ Holy cow, Becca. Look at his eyes!” He blushed a little and thanked me.

“ No seriously. What color are they?” I asked, lost in them.

“ I always thought they were more of a gray or light blue.” He answered.

“ They're like... Invisible! They're amazing!” I gasped. He thanked me again and walked away after setting our orders on the small square table.

There was a mound of mashed potatoes on my plate, drizzled with gravy and smothered with a special house sauce. On top were three sausage links the size of my hand- wrist to the tip of my middle finger.

“ Holy wow.” Becca said. Steam rose from the plate, sending saliva out of my mouth. Wow. For six hours of not eating, I sure was hungry!

I stuffed the first bite into my mouth just as the ding of a bell rang. The door to the diner opened and in came the only thing that could dampen my glorious mood. Collin Harper and slutbag. She was following close behind him and was draped all over him. Her eyes were hungry and on a mission. I dug deep into my skin with my nails and clenched my jaw.

“ This is just perfect.” I hissed. I ducked down under the table and waited for Becca to do something. She got up and jogged towards them, distracting Collin just enough to where I could run to the bathroom.

I slammed the door shut and ran into a stall where I locked it and slid down to the floor. The first tear had came a while back when I first saw him. I don't even know how to feel about him anymore. He was my best friend. He was my first kiss. He was my everything for a while. Now, he's just another pig of a boy.

The door creaked open, indicating Becca looking for me. I unlocked the stall, ready to wipe my tears and walked out.

“ Hi.” Cindy's voice was cheerful and filled with that bitchiness only she could pull off.

“ What the hell do you want?” I glared at her, thinking of all of the different ways I could kill her. There was a roll of paper towels to my left... And I could always slam her head against the sinks. They're marble... pretty hard.

“ I still haven't gotten my shopping date with you!” She acted so innocently. “ Come on, Aves. Oh, sorry... Isn't that what Collin calls you- ooh. Called you?” She smirked.

Everything happened so fast. I don't know what order the events were in, but it was like I wasn't even myself. I hit Cindy square in the nose, leaving her to bleed. I ran out of the door, where I smacked into Collin and Becca. Collin rushed to Cindy, Becca grabbed me, and I blacked out, falling to the floor.

Blackness surrounded me and the last thing I heard was the cry of a bitchy blond with a broken nose. Score for Avery!

White was everywhere. It was like a white room, but there wasn't any furniture or any doors. Then, red paint appeared. I walked over to the can and picked up a brush. I set the brush on the wall, slowly stroking upwards to make a line. I wasn't controlling my own hand anymore. I couldn't even imagine painting something like I am. A face showed up through the blotches on the wall. It was Ed's. His dimples showed up and he held a guitar. Then me, I stared at him. We both sat on his bed. You could see the love in our eyes. Then, in my hands was a blanket. An occupied blanket. It was filled out and faced towards me. A baby hand reached up to me, wanting my attention.

I stepped back from the painting and smiled. Blue paint dripped from the clean lines of the portrait, sending my red paint smearing down the page. I couldn't breath anymore. A pain came from my stomach and my hand flew to it. A kick came, making my heart sink to my feet. I looked up from my belly and up at the wall. Everything was black. Each stroke, each line, was gone. When I looked at my stomach again, it was full. Like you would see at eight months of being pregnant. A hand wrapped around me, landing over mine on my belly button. Ed's laugh turned into more of a sarcastic, evil laugh.

Just get rid of it.” Everything went white again and I was alone.

Blood spilled from my legs and I was left crumpled on the floor. A white light flashed on me, blinding me. I lied down and started sniffling. My throat closed and my last breath was taken. My view went from mine, to an above shot of me. I was laying in a pool of blood with my hands wrapped around my knees. My eyes were shut and I was pale. I was still. I was dead.
