“ So you told him I was downstairs? Now I can't go down there!” She looked at me in terror.

“ Sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm just frustrated. I really don't want to be with Collin right now.”

I apologized to Becca.

“ You get ready, then we'll head down together. If he tries to bother you, I'll come in and distract him. Deal?” I shook her hand in agreement to her brilliant plan.

“ Deal.” In just the twelve hours we were roommates, we bonded, mostly over stupid things.

We spent a whole hour talking about British accents and how they were the sexiest things to ever be on this planet. We even made a pact for one day in London to walk around and see if anyone could tell that our accents were fake. They would probably just take it offensively though.

I pulled up the towel that was still wrapped around my bare body and headed for the bathroom, where I had left all my stuff on the floor. My tan shirt slid right over my head, after my bra and laced undershirt. I figured skinny jeans and my BearPaw boots would satisfy myself for a traveling day. My TMNT pants were sitting in the little foldable hamper by the toilet. My mom insisted I bring it, knowing that I hate cleaning up after myself.

I shut the toilet seat lid down and sat on it, trying to ruffle my skinny jeans up to where they weren't covering my foot. Those stupid things are so hard to deal with. Ugh... I scrunched my wet hair into a bun and squeezed it, letting the access water drip out from the pressure. Hen I let my hair down and wrapped it in a towel, like I always do.

My phone buzzed, showing a picture of Collin and me. I was riding him, piggy back style, and he was reaching up for my hand. I remember that day as clear as crystal. He grabbed my arms when I was too lazy to get up, and carried me all the way downstairs. When we got down there, my mom pulled out her camera, along with her obsession of scrap booking.

“ Hold still you two! This is perfect.” She snapped the picture only seconds before I accidentally kicked Collin in the back of his knee, sending us both flying on to the couch on top of each other.

I sighed at the picture and clicked the decline button for the hundredth time today.

I was all dressed and was walking to the living room part of our room, just as the door was being banged on.

“ Avery, open up. It's me, Timothy.” His voice greeted me.

“ Morning sunshine!” He joked, tiredly.

“ What?” I asked, not ready to go down to the cafe yet.

“ I was just wondering if you and Becca would wanna go down to breakfast with me.” He smiled. He has wide shoulders, and stands up tall. His hands were meant to farm, so they were masculine. Overall, he was a pure Texan cowboy. He pushed his brown hair out of his face and stared down at his boots when he spoke. “ I mean, only if you wanted to.”

“ Of course! Are we skipping or walking to the elevator?” I teased, remembering our skipping adventure at the airport.

“ I think it's up to Becca.” He looked past me to her. She was wearing a peach, see through top with a denim jacket over it. Her brown hair was curled down her back and secured with a ponytail. Even when she isn't trying, she still looks better than me.

“ I'll walk, but don't let me stop you from having a skip parade.” She smiled and motioned for us to get out as she pulled and locked the door behind her.

“ Last one to the elevator is a rotten, stinky, old, nasty egg!” He called out. His boots clicked the floor as he ran across the hall, heading for the elevator.

I flew past him and pushed the button right as the doors slid open.

When I slid in, I stuck my tongue out and turned, only to smack into Collin.

“ Finally. Hey uh- Can we have a minute alone?” He asked to Becca and Tim.

“ Hmm... We really need to get downstairs.” Becca saved me, just like she promised she would.

“ Alright, but you won't get away this easy. Can we please talk later?” His brown eyes shone back at me, with hurt in them.

“ Sure” I lied. I didn't want to talk, nor would I ever. And if it meant hiding from him throughout this whole trip, so be it.
