Mr. Evens made sure that we were all up bright and early this morning to see the rest of the city and get back so we can head to England. Breakfast was quick and easy, no fights, no tension. Today was the lazy day. Again, Mr. Evens had plans with his lady friend, so I was the first to know that we were just exploring today. We're going to be checked out of the hotel at six, and leaving on the bus at six thirty. I pulled off my sweatpants after breakfast and put on loose jeans along with my Vans and a black and white striped tee. When I had my hair brushed and my teeth clean, I headed over to Avery's room.

I knocked on the door twice, then called out 'Zoom'. That was, yet another, secret door knock we made up when we were kids. Stupid idea, but it got the point across.

" Hey Collin. Whatchya wanna do today?" She said, sleepiness still on the tip of her tongue.

" I was thinking lazy day. What do you say?" I said, arm propped up against the door frame.

" Sounds lovely. Lunch, maybe some shopping?" She said with eagerness.

" Might as well start the Europe shopping now." She squealed and hugged me. Shopping was one of her favorite things to do, even though she wasn't at all the girly type. She liked skateboarding for a while, until I accidentally ran into her, trying to skateboard with her. I know how to skateboard, just not with a person trying to hold on to me as I'm riding down a huge hill. She gave up the pass time soon after, and took in basketball as a filler. She was literally, no pun intended with her hair, on fire when she had the ball. She ran with her head down, dribbling all the way down the court. She shoots three pointers almost every game, if not twice, and makes the cleanest free throws I have ever seen in my life. Our school's team was nothing without her. She brought the thirteen year old loosing streak out of the ground and laughed in it's face with victory her first game. Shopping with her, was just another thing I could be excited for, because with her, there are always new surprises.

" Want to go shopping now or later?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

" Anytime is fine with me, as long as we go." She said, pointing a finger accusingly at me.

" Of course. Anything for you." I said bowing my head at her like she was a royal queen. She laughed at me and sat on her bed. I shut the door, only to find Becca behind it, listening to everything we were saying.

" Well, uh. Hi hi there." I said to Becca.

" I wasn't snooping, she asked me to stay here. Don't blame me. And morning." She added with pep.

" Okay then... Would you like to come shopping with us?"

" Sure. Is Tim coming?" I had a feeling that there was something going on between them.

" Uh, I haven't asked him, but if you want to invite him, feel free." I said nonchalantly.

" Okay." She said excitedly, but then suddenly containing herself.

" Okay..." I Said back to her.

" She likes Tim." Aves explained to me after Becca had left the room. She was off to ask Tim to go shopping with us.

" I kind of figured..." I said knowingly.

" Well aren't you smart." She said sarcastically.

Becca and Tim burst through the room laughing their heads off, and stopping when they see us.

" So are we going shopping or not?" Tim asked. His Texan accent broke through the air and stopped when he saw the position Avery and I were in. I was laying down on her bed, Avery spread across me with her arms above my head and her feet in between mine. She laid on her side, looking at my face. We hadn't moved for the past twenty minutes, and I was hoping we wouldn't have to.

" Sorry..." Tim started.

" You're fine." Avery assured him.

" So what are we doing today?" Becca asked.

" Seeing if they have a movie theater... Getting lunch, shop-"

" Shopping." Avery said at the same time, with a smile on her face.

The day passed quickly, and I was running out of hours with Avery. The whole day we were always next to someone. We went to Cinema São Jorge, a place that would be called a movie theater in America. I had two hours and thirty- seven minutes in the dark with Avery, and each minute, she managed to have someone talking to her. Each time I went in fir a kiss or holding her hand, she turned away to Becca. Towards the end, she did let me sneak one kiss. Maybe she was coming around. The rest of the long day was spent shopping and eating and laughing. Best day of the trip so far.

The twenty hour ride to London would be long, but worth it. I pressed Mr. Evens to tell me the rest of the places we were going to. It would be London for ten days- we have extended our trip... Yay! Then Ireland for eight days, and from there, we figure it out as we go. He said it just depends on what we like and what we don't. But the good thing about going to London is no parents. We have a check in every five hours we're in the city alone, but other than that, we get to do what we want.

The bus was packed tight with luggage and people heading to London. Somewhere between here and there, we would be getting on a ferry and then another bus to London. Can't wait... More traveling, ugh!

I woke up several hours later, being the only one awake other than the bus driver.

I repositioned myself, trying not to wake the sleeping Avery in my lap. I ended up against the window, face pressed to the glass and my hand on Ave's hair. I stroked it gently, thinking about what would happen in the next few days. Cindy backed off mostly, but she's still a threat. No matter what, Avery can't figure out about the hook up. I will not loose her again.
