Chapter 42

SEUNGCHEOL'S POV

I left the hospital with Jisoo and Seokmin. Doyeon was left with Sanha, Lucy and Jeonghan's parents.

"I guess, let's see each other tomorrow?" Jisoo said, turning his head on me. I sighed.

"What's the problem?" Seokmin asked. I feel so nervous right now. I know once I went back home, Dad's gonna be furiously mad.

"I know Dad's gonna be mad for real. I'm not scared of what might happen to me, but I'm scared on what they might do to Jeonghan." I said. The three of them, my Dad, Mrs Yoo and Mr Nam pushed me to admit it to everyone. I'm not afraid of being kicked out of the house. I'm really just afraid what my Dad will do to Jeonghan.

"Jeonghan's parents won't let that happen." Jisoo comforted me. I know that too. But, once they knew that this is another red flag for Jeonghan, they might go against us more. "And I know that you won't also let that happen. He has a faith in you," Jisoo added up and smiled.

"I'll go ahead," I said and they also bid a goodbye. They're gonna go home together, I guess?

I hopped inside the car and started the engine. I drove all the way back home, and while driving, a call came in.

Minseok hyung.

"Hello, hyung?" I answered the call.

"Let's meet, now." he said and hangs up the call. I immediately took a u-turn and drove to the Police Station.

I reached the Police Station. I immediately went to his office and I rushed inside. I saw him with a computer, watching something.

"Hyung, I'm here." I said and he looked up with me. He stood up from his seat and accompanied me in front of the computer.

It was a CCTV Camera footage. The date was when my Mom died. "Where did you get this hyung?" I asked. He remained silent so I watched the video.

It was my Mom and Dad. Mom was walking out of somewhere I don't know and there I saw Dad went out of an apartment, behind him was a woman, which happens to be his mistress.

I watched it closely and Mom looks like didn't want to hear Dad's explanations. She walked away from them and Dad just frustratingly went back to the apartment with his mistress.

On the next footage, there was Mom, walking on the sidewalk. She seems to be crying. She was about to cross the road when a car hits her.

Mom was hit by that car, and she seems to be alive. The car stopped and the driver went out of the car. I don't know if it's a he or she, but the driver went out, and my Mom seems to be wincing and pain and asking for help. But instead, a traumatic scene came up. The driver took out a gun and killed her completely.

The car doesn't have any plate number and it drove away from the crime scene.

But the most suspicious thing to me is, the car seems to be familiar.

"Where did you get this, hyung?" I asked Minseok hyung once again.

"I got it near the crime scene. As you wished, I kept on looking everywhere that has a CCTV during the accident. But now, it seems like it wasn't an accident." He said, and I stared at the car once again. The car is surprisingly familiar to me, believe me.
