Chapter 43

JEONGHAN'S POV

"He's being rebel again!"

"Calm down, Sanhyuk."

"I guess he's not, Uncle. He even learned how to be nice to people again after he met Seungcheol."

"Doyeon, stop covering him up."

"Sanhyuk, calm down."

"How will I even calm down, Jeongbin? Knowing our son is dating a guy?"

I woke up from the shouts I heard. I slowly opened my eyes just to see these two unexpected persons. They're the least persons I expected to see.

"J-Jeonghan?" I heard Mom. She immediately went near me. She placed her palm on my forehead and caressed my head.

Dad is just standing there, staring at me. Doyeon's also here with Sei.

"How are you, son? Is there anything that hurts?" Mom asked in an instant. I roamed my eyes around trying to spot the person I really wanted to see, but I see no one but them.

"Who are you looking for? Sanha? Doyeon, quick, call Sanha." Mom said and Doyeon followed. I heard her phone ringing but still, it's not Sanha.

"Sanha's on his way now." Doyeon said and hangs up the call.

"Your brother is on the way already, he just fetched Lucy home. You know, he's now growing older." Mom chuckled but I couldn't catch up with her.

"I want to see Seungcheol." I finally said it. The way they stared at me is as if questioning me. They stared as if I said something wrong.

"Who's Seungcheol?" Dad asked, but I can already sense that he already knew. I bit my lower lip before looking straight into his eyes.

"My boyfriend." I answered. Dad immediately gritted his teeth but Mom looked at him saying that he should calm himself down, so Dad did.

"Are you sure about that? Or you're just being rebel again?" Dad, once again, asked. I sighed. When will they even stop with that rebel thing?

"I'm not being rebel, and I do love him. Besides, I don't have any reasons to be a rebel anymore." I said, looking away. Seungcheol showed me what love really is, so being a rebel was constantly removed from my system.

"I thought, you were doing good with Sowon?" Dad brought her up. Yeah right, they don't know yet.

"We broke up," I shortly answered, and Dad gave me a look. A look that he couldn't believe what I just said.

They know how much I value Sowon, well, I still value her up until now, but only as a friend. She's a good friend, and we're better to stay as friends.

"Eunwoo hyung's already courting her," Sanha interrupted.

"Why did you let her go?" Dad irritatingly asked. I looked at him in disbelief. "We can't fool ourselves, Dad. Besides, we ended in good terms, okay? We're friends." I clarified. Sowon and I aren't meant to be together, and I know Eunwoo is the one for her.
