Chapter 48

JEONGHAN'S POV

"Break up with Seungcheol."

My world literally stopped. I took a glance on Seungcheol who's now eyeing Yeoreum who's currently making her way out of the cafe.

"Break up with him and leave Pledis University for good." he added up. I looked at him with hatred. So this is what I'm getting as I receive all of my friends' punishment?

"I'll bring him back to Pledis University tomorrow." he grinned.

"Why are you even doing this?" I couldn't help but ask. I only have 1 week left before August 8. Then what am I even fearing right now?

"Because Seungcheol changed a lot when you came." he said, directly into my eyes. I changed him? "He keeps on searching about his Mom's death. He also started to be disrespectful to me." he added up. But, it's his fault anyways. Seungcheol told me that his father cheated.

"He has the rights to know about his Mom's death. Especially when the reason is about his father, cheating with another woman." I've got nothing to fear right now. Who cares?

"Bastard." he blurted out. "Now, are you agreeing with this deal with me, Mr Yoon?" he asked. I gulped. I don't know what to answer.

"I'll wait until you decide. August 8 is just around the corner. Your final answer determines Seungcheol's future with better education and knowledge, or Seungcheol's miserable future with you." he said before his driver opened up the door for me to get out of that car.

I stared at Seungcheol who's now sitting on one of the chairs inside the cafe. I wanna hug him so bad.

"Don't worry. I will still bring him back in the university. With or without your answer for now. Just make sure to be decided on August 8." he grinned once again. An evil grin. Is it really me who makes him miserable, or it's him? Seungcheol's own father?

"What if I don't wanna agree with you?" I asked, and he laughed.

"If you want me to stop everyone standing up against to your friends, then do as I say. And, I'll kick you out of the school." he said, and I really don't have any other choice. "You're excused for the whole day. You can still go to school if you wanted to. Or just go home. I don't care." he said before telling his driver to drive away already.

I was left there, standing like a shit. I watched Seungcheol getting tired. I badly wanna go to him, and ask him why is he doing all of these for me?

He regained his smile when a customer came in. It doesn't seem like he's faking it.

'What did I do in my past life to deserve your love? Your efforts? Your sacrifices for me?'

He gives me too much of himself, to the point that he's here. Working in a place I never imagined he would be. He's that spoiled brat rich kid I met. But look at him now. He's lowering down his profile, his pride, he's setting everything aside, and he's getting out from his comfort zone just to be with me.

Am I really the hindrance? Am I? I don't know. I love him so much and I can't just give him up. But, I need to help my friends.
