Chapter 56

It's been a month ever since Jeonghan left Seungcheol on the day of his birthday. He never done anything for the past month, all he did was to send various of voicemails to Jeonghan, even though he knew himself, that Jeonghan will never respond.

After that day when Mingyu and Seungcheol fought, they thought that after Mingyu said sorry, he will become violent and aggressive, but they're wrong.

Seungcheol accepted the apology but he became quiet. Everytime his friends visit him, they will caught him just staring at the window, all day. They've seen him everyday like that. Only his position changes.

Sometimes, they caught him lying down on the bed and facing his back on them and staring at the window. Sometimes, sitting on the floor hugging his knees and staring at the window. Sometimes, sitting at the top part of the bed cushion hugging his knees as he leans his head on the wall.

But the thing that didn't change too? That he's still holding onto the picture frame.

They never saw Seungcheol shed tears, even once. He's just there, staring. Jihoon also said, that they should look after him more often. Because a person who's hurt and doesn't cry, is shedding tears inside. They're the people who's in pain the most. He may not be crying physically, but his heart is crying nonstop.

For that one month, Seungcheol stopped attending school. Cheolhan got so mad, but Jeongyeon contradicts him. That Seungcheol needs a break from everything. He needs space and time for himself.

Mingyu frequently visits him to make him breakfast and dinner and leaves it inside his room. But, Seungcheol only eats a bit and doesn't finish his food.

Junhui also told them to not tell Seungcheol about Jeonghan's reason, because it will just add to Seungcheol's pain, knowing that his Dad is the main reason why Jeonghan left him.

Jeongyeon also makes an effort to cook lunch for him since Mingyu's attending school. Beomgyu visits his hyung too every weekends. Just like today.

"Hyung?" Beomgyu softly called his hyung out as he enters the room. He's been going here ever since. And he's not expecting Seungcheol to respond as usual.

"It's been a month hyung. Maybe, you're still not fine and you're not yet healed." Beomgyu sat down beside Seungcheol who's now staring directly at the window, sitting on the floor.

"You never got your hands off of that." Beomgyu smiled and noticed the picture frame that Seungcheol is still holding. "I captured it nicely, right?" Beomgyu kept smiling. Trying hard not to cry to see his brother in this state.

"By the way, do you know that Ryujin and I are officially a couple?" Beomgyu happily told him, but Seungcheol's expression didn't change. He's been blank like this for one month. "I finally got the courage to tell her how I really feel. And guess what? Our feelings are mutual!" He added and looked at his brother who looks so lost staring at the sky.

"I seriously don't know what to say to you. But, hyung, I know you will heal soon." Beomgyu said sincerely and slowly gets Seungcheol's right hand and squeezed it. "I'm always here whenever you need me." Beomgyu said and hugs his brother.

Beomgyu didn't notice that, a tear escaped Seungcheol's eyes. Beomgyu, just like usual left him there and shed his tears once he got out of the room. It hurts him so much to see his brother in that state.

"Jeonghan-ah. I miss you so much already. It's been a day. But, I'm trying so hard to be strong. I know you don't want me to be this weak. Just promise me that you will come back quick, okay? I love you." - Day 1

"Hannie... It's been seventeen days. I don't know but I can't really control myself not to send these voicemails to you. It's just that... *sigh* I miss you so much. Can you come back already? I'm dying inside." - Day 17
