Bondita's POV:-
I ruffled the drawer, but found nothing. There was every useless thing except for something important. I have thought to find out about Barrister babu and Manorama didi's marriage truth. I remember that Barrister babu have a diary in which he writes about every important event of his life and his thoughts. I know that it's not right to steal his diary, but I don't have any option left!
Ahh! Nothing's there! I wailed after checking another drawer. Pata nahi konsi tijori main chhupa kar rakhi hai diary. Thank fully, Manorama didi have called Queen Vaibhavi for impressing her. When she got the news that RCs aren't invited in the welcome party of Viceroy, she thought to impress Queen and get a chance to be in the list.
Kaka sasur ji have went to his zamindaari work as he was not interested in girl's talks. Sasur ji was as usual in his factory. Batuk, Som dada, Barrister babu, Sampurna and Manorama didi are busy in attending the queen and obviously buttering her. It was a great opportunity for me to find his diary but diary mile tab na!
Bang!
I banged the drawer closed. It was the last drawer of his study. I even checked his shelves and literally the whole study but can't find that diary. I sat on the floor and took a deep breath but my breathing hitched when I heard some footsteps coming near the study.
Is it Barrister babu?
Is it Manorama didi?
Is it Sampurna?
If anyone found me here then so udd gaye tote! Samarth have taught me this line. In the initial days, I mocked him for speaking such a disgusting dialogue but with the passing time, I also made a habit of saying the same line. A slight blush appeared on my face remembering Samarth. Hey Bondita! It's not the time to think about Samarth. Go fast or else you will fly in air except of parrots.
The voice started getting loud and my heart denied to beat normally. I quickly got up and was going when my leg hit a small box. I covered my mouth to prevent myself from shouting. What's in it? I wondered. Not giving a second thought, I picked up the box and quickly ran to my room through the spiral stairs. I heard someone opening the door of study.
Closing the door behind me, I took deep breaths to calm myself. Apne ghar main ek chhoti si diary churane main paseene chhut gaye aur vaha pata nahi asli chor kaise dusro ke ghar main chori karte hain?!
Shrugging off my useless thoughts, I kept the box on the bed and opened it. That's it! Finally got his diary. I took out the diary and was going to open it when I heard some cheerful voices, coming from study. Keeping the diary in box and box on the top of my almirah, I followed the voices.
As soon as I reached in study, the scene in front of me made my eyes popped out and a lump to be formed in my throat. Tears made their ways through my eyes. Barrister babu and Manorama didi were h-hugging each other, in the s-study! I remember that it was OUR place. We always laughed here together. Studied here. Talked here. Hugged here. For the first time we have hugged each other in the study and now Manorama didi!
I stumbled on my feet and took the support of the table but unfortunately, a book fell down and they both parted from each other with a jerk and looked at me. I can see horror in both of their eyes. Obviously, because they were caught.
"B-Bon...Bondita... Jaisa tum-" Barrister babu tried to say something but I ran from there to my room.
Anirudh's POV:-
When Manorama have raised her hand at Bondita to slap her, I became angry but didn't reacted because I don't wanted to shout on her in front of everyone. Moreover, kaka have handled everything but when Bondita hugged Manorama to prevent her from touching her feet, I felt proud of her. Later at night, I have confronted Manorama regarding it and warned her to never raise hand at Bondita. She was already guilty and apologized.
