Anirudh's POV:-

"I am....sorry, he is no more" The doctor announced, leaving a stunned silence behind him.

After Kate came at our house and dropped the news that her parents were dead, I was speechless. Bondita tried to calm her and asked her what happened to which Kate replied that her parents were coming back home from their business trip and they met an accident. They were immediately admitted in the hospital, but their condition was very critical and the chances of survival were very slim.

We all hurried to the hospital in which her parents were admitted and found that her father died but her mother was still in the operation theatre, but it would be very difficult to save her.

"You see, according to their condition we can make out that your father protected your mother and took all the hit on his head. Your mother wouldn't have undergone such serious condition if the car wouldn't have overturned. "

"But.... You can save her? Right? " Rose asked.

"I can't say anything, but we will try our best."

The doctor went away, glancing at a crying Kate with pity. Bondita and Samarth were consoling her.

"Bondita, main sabke liye kuchh khaane ke liye laata hu" I said to which she nodded. It was past midnight and everyone was hungry, so I went to the hospital's cafeteria and bought some sandwhiches and juice.

In these few weeks, I thought that I and Bondita have become closer. That finally we are going back to the way we were, but then this happened. And Bondita is a revolutionary? That came as a shock to me. Honestly, at first I was angry, but then I somewhere felt guilty that may be it was me who pushed her in that direction, unknowingly. That it was because of me she wanted to do something.... rebellious. I am really proud of her that she is doing something for our country, but when she made that life changing decision she was just a teenager and I am sure she didn't even know what she was signing up for. Another thing that angered me was that she didn't tell anyone. Okay, I can understand that she wasn't talking to me when she joined the revolutionary group, but when she came back from Dalhousie? Why didn't she tell me then? And how the hell was she doing all that revolutionary work from hostel?

Many questions swirled in my mind, but I chose not to ask them because she was, is, going through a bigger trauma of killing someone. If you ask me, then she did nothing wrong, it was self defence, but it is still something very big to come over. But I know my Bondita, she is very strong, she will come over it. And this time I am with her.

A few more hours went by and it was already morning. Kate didn't eat anything the whole night. I asked Bondita to go home and that we were here, but she denied coldly. Although, she convinced Mallika and Rose to go back home because someone should be there and that they should rest.

So, now it was me, Bondita, Samarth and Kate. I thought to talk to Samarth today about the whole revolutionary thing, but now's not the time. I guess I will have to postpone it for a few weeks. I actually didn't try to talk to him at all because I was calming myself, or else I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from shouting at him for involving Bondita in this.

At around 5:00 AM the doctor came out of the operation theatre and announced a good news. "She is alive and can live, but she won't be able to walk for a while. Honestly, it is a miracle that she can breathe again. Congratulations. "

"I guess, ab tum logo ko jaana chahiye yaha se. Tum log raat bhar nahi soye the. " Kate said to me, Bondita and Samarth, looking at her sandals.

"Pehle hum aunty se ek baar mil le phir chalte hain. " Bondita replied to which I and Samarth nodded.
