Bondita's POV:-

"Huh! Kya kar liya itni padhai karke agar apne pati ko apne pallu se na baandh paayi"

"Itni sundarta di bhagwaan ne, itni akal di, itni kabiliyat di, par vaivaahik jeevan chheen liya"

"Ek aurat ka apne pati ke bina koi samman hota hai kya? "

I covered my ears with my hands to prevent all this nonsense to enter my ears, but it doesn't work. Why always me? Why dugga maa, why? Whenever I feel a little happy, why those memories again come to haunt me? What's my fault? What sin did I committed that you wrote this in my destiny?

I cried as hard as I can. Even though I didn't want to, but I am unable to stop my flowing tears. Only if I wouldn't have heard those women's whispers. Only IF!

After spending the whole day chatting, joking, laughing and enjoying with Samarth, Kate and Barrister Babu, I was feeling very light and happy after ages. I forgot every bad memory for the moment being because those memories can make me sad, but can't snatch my happiness, until I want them to.

It was evening, when we all spotted a small lake and thought to spend a few moments there. It was a beautiful place with trees, plants and flowers everywhere. The lake water was sparkling with a tinge of orange colour, as the sun was going to set. Birds and butterflies, flying back to their home, made the view more serene. We all were adoring the beauty of nature, when I spotted a kulfi shop.

"Barrister Babu! " I grabbed everyone's attention. "Vo dekhiye kulfi" I pointed towards the shop.

"Bondita ab tujhe kulfi bhi khaani hai? " Kate rolled her eyes.

What's her problem? Uske muh main thodi na thus rahi hu!

"Haan khaani hai! Tujhe nahi khaana toh mat khaa! Chalo, hun teeno chalte hain"

"Nahi Bondita! " Samarth spoke keeping his hand on his stomach. " Aaj bahut khaa liya, pet pura bhara huya hai, ab isse zyada nahi khaa sakta main"

"That's what I was saying" Kate muttered, to whom I ignored. Now my last hope was only Barrister babu, so I turned towards him with pleading eyes.

"Thik hai par sirf ek kulfi! " He commanded and I nodded excitedly. It felt a bit weird to me that today he was not denying me for anything, but I shrugged off my thoughts and went with him towards the small shop.

"Ek kulfi dena" He ordered.

"Ek kyu? Aap nahi khaaoge?" I frowned.

"Nahi. Mujhe nahi khaana"

"Aise kaise nahi khaana? Iss tarah kulfi ka apmaan nahi kar sakte aap. Haina Bhaiya? " I turned towards kulfi wale bhaiya, who nodded.
