Bondita's POV:-

I poured the turmeric milk in two glasses. One for Barrister babu and other for Samarth. Both of them are like small kids. Can't even take care of themselves. Sometimes I wonder what they would have done when I was in Dalhousie.

Ashi had almost exposed me, but I made up some excuses and saved myself. The things are really complicated, as Ashi have started suspecting me. For now, she was in Mahila Shakti Grah Udyog with Arunima didi, which was a great relief for me.

I headed towards the study, where both of them were sitting. I entered in study. Both of them were doing their work. Barrister babu reading a book. Samarth talking with Batuk and giggling in middle. May be they cracked up some petty jokes. I rolled my eyes at them and kept the tray on the table. All of them looked at me and again got indulged in their stupid stuffs.

Like I don't exist.

I cleared my throat to gain everyone's attention. They again looked at me. But didn't say anything and waited for me to continue.

"Aap logo ko chot lagi hai isliye ye haldi wala dhoodh laayi hu"

They nodded and again started doing their works. I gave them a confused and frustrated look.

I am serious!

"Kuchh kaha maine" I said and folded my arms across my chest.

"Haan suna humne " Three of them said together. I turned back and closed my eyes. I inhaled and exhaled, to calm myself.

They are already hurt, don't get angry.

I again turned towards them and called to Batuk in a stern voice. He immediately stood up from the sofa.

"Raat bahut ho gayi hai. Haina? " I asked him with fake sweetness in my voice.

"Haan" He nodded innocently.

"Toh jaao jaake so jaao"

"Par-"

"Jaao jaake so jaao" I repeated with an authoritative tone. He hastily nodded and ran towards his room. I gave a I-think-you-understood look to Samarth and Barrister babu. They both gulped down and quickly grabbed their glasses.

Samarth instantly drank the whole milk and gave me a proud smile. As if he have thrown the Britishers out of the country. I rolled my eyes at him and looked at Barrister babu, who was making weird faces. He kept the glass back on the table and picked up his book.

He and his nakhre.

"Barrister babu? " I called him.

"Hmm? " He said, eyes stuck at the book.

What is he reading? I wondered. I shook my head disappointedly and my gaze shifted at Samarth. There was some milk smeared on the corner of his lips. When will he grow up? I gestured him to wipe the remaining milk. But this great personality, rubbed his whole face, except for the place where the milk was smeared actually.

"Hey dugga maa! " I muttered and slapped my forehead. I sat beside him on the sofa. I cleaned the remaining liquid from corner of his lips with my pallu. I heard barrister babu coughing and separated from Samarth. I noticed that he was almost crushing the steel glass with his hands.

"Aapko kuchh chahiye? " I asked him.

"Ye dhoodh thanda ho gaya hai toh garam kar ke le aao" He replied and I went towards him. I took the glass from his hand.
