Anidita: Mending the relationship

LONDON: Part III

"Hello kaka..... Haan hum pahuch gaye.... Vo sab abhi aaram kar rahe hain..... Kaka vaha hindustan main 7:00 baje honge yaha abhi raat ke 1:00 baj rahe hain...... Kyuki ye London hai.... Ab aap phone rakhiye aur mujhe sone dijiye.... Haan kara dunga aapki bahu se baat..... Shubhratri" I hung up the phone and sighed. My kaka isn't less than a detective.

I took a long nap and woke up at around 8:00 AM. The journey wasn't much tiring because the ship had good and comfortable rooms, and I have many times travelled from London to India and vice versa, so I am habitual of the voyage.

Everyone was still sleeping. Taking a quick bath, I went in the kitchen and thought to make the breakfast for everybody. I prepared coffee for myself, tea for everyone else with some toast, sprouts and grilled tomatoes. Typical british breakfast.

I served the food on the dining table and waited for them to come downstairs, sipping my coffee. It wasn't as good as Bondita's coffee, but it was satisfactory. First Mallika came downstairs, wearing a long brown skirt with a white shirt. We exchanged a smile and she sat at one chair.

"Omg Anirudh babu! Ye sab aapne banaya? " She exclaimed looking at the food on the table. I nodded.

"Achha Anirudh babu aapne toh yahin se Barristery ki thi na? "

"Haan. Tumhe kaise pata? "

"Vo Bondita ne bataya tha" She answered and with a light shrug added, "Vo main abhi bartistery ki practice kar rahi hu toh kuchh mahino baad mujhe job ki zarurat padegi. Aap jaante hain yaha koi Barrister ko jo jobs bhi provide karta ho? "

I thought for a second and then asked, "Tum job hi karogi ya firr experience lene ke baad khud ka private chamber khologi? "

"Abhi iss baare main kuchh socha nahi hai, but most probably private chamber. "

"Okay then main apne dosto se baat karta hu agar vo kuchh time ke liye job offer de sakte hain ya nahi"

"Really? Thank you so much"

I nodded in all smiles and just then Samarth and Bondita entered.

"Aapko khaana banana aata hai? " He asked. I puffed up my chest a bit proudly and in a slight teasing manner and nodded, "Haan"

"Tulsipur main toh kabhi nahi banaya" Bondita snapped at me.

"Haan kyuki vaha pe kaka nahi banane dete the. Khaana banana chhodo vo toh rasoi main bhi nahi ghusne dete the aur firr tum toh thi na vaha pe itna achha khaana banane ke liye toh main kyu pareshaan hoyu? " I shrugged. Her cheeks turned a bit pink when I openly praised her cooking skills.

"Chalo ab khaana khaate hain. " Mallika said, starting to serve.

"Haan zarur. Zara hum bhi toh dekhe ki kaisa khaana banate hain ye" Samarth said in a challenging manner and I glowered at him, controlling my urge to throw the toast on his nose.

"Ab kya karna hai? " Bondita asked as we all finished our lunch.

"Umm.... Pata nahi. Chalo Rose aur Kate ke ghar chalte hain. Vaha se shopping chalenge. " Mallika suggested to which we all nodded.

"Achha suno" I spoke. "Mujhe apne purane college bhi jaana hai. King's University"

"Kyu? " They asked in echo.

"Kyuki mujhe thoda kaam hai vaha pe"

"Hum bhi chalenge"

"Tum log kyu jaaoge? "

"Kyuki humara mann"

"Pehle toh ye chorus main bolna band karo. It's irritating"
