Ok,so a lot of the chapters from here on out will have dark themes.

Max POV:
Everything had begin to change since the incident with Kate yesterday most notable was a new school policy on bullying. They were also going to do things like drug test for students if they seemed off. Of course all this was just stuff they said everyone knew nothing would change. Another noticeable change was the lack of Rachel recently. I mean yeah you still saw her here and there, but not as much. Sighing I looked up just waiting for class to end as I had already submitted my project which I was hesitant to do. "One last thing before you all go. If any of you students feel down us teachers are always here to lend a ear," Jefferson said no doubt referring to Kate. The bell rang as I walked out in the hallway seeing Kate's locker covered in sticky notes wishing her all the best. Funny how everyone didn't give a shit when Kate needed them, but now they all cared. Shaking my head I looked down at my phone seeing a text from Chloe that just junkyard. I had to tell Chloe about my powers soon, and start using them better. Yesterday I could've went back before Kate even cute her hand, and stopped all of this. Walking down the hallway a noticeable conversation peaked my interest as I stopped trying to look like I wasn't listening. "Oh yeah Rachel has been acting super weird since the Kate drama," Victoria said chuckling a bit. "Probably just upset cause the biggest loser in Arcadia dumped her," one of her little side minions said as I rolled my eyes. "Who knows maybe Rachel will go fuck the next loser that comes her way. Max Caulfield is available," Victoria said laughing as they looked over at me. "Max just exactly how did you know about Kate?" Victoria asked putting her hand on her hip. "You're little vortex club party started all this drama. It didn't take a psychologist to figure out Kate was struggling. Victoria maybe you should start caring about other people," I said before walking off.

Rachel POV:
I couldn't even cry anymore as the pain of knowing I did nothing to stop Nathan ate what at me. Picking up my phone I just looked at the background picture of Chloe smiling a bit. Luckily my phone didn't break yesterday when I threw it or I would've lost some of these memories. Closing my eyes I sighed thinking about how many people I had hurt along the way. Sure I helped people with stuff like homework, but I also caused people to hurt. I really did love Chloe, but it had always been clear she loved Max. Reading some of those diary entries made it super clear I was a recovery girlfriend. My phone buzzed as I rolled over seeing it was a text from Max. Slowly picking up my phone I read the text. "Hey Rachel, I just want you to know you can always talk to me if you want. I know things didn't go well with Chloe, but I know you have a good heart," the text read making me want to cry. What reason did Max have to even talk to me anymore? I tried to fuck up her life, and her she is saying I have a good heart. Sitting up I looked over at the window knowing some sun would do me good. I went to stand up,but I just fell back in bed again not wanting to do anything. I heard a knock on the door which was probably just Victoria,so I ignored it. "Rachel? Come on I know we just broke up,but I have some of your crap here," Chloe said on the other side of the door. "Door is open just throw it on the floor," I said loud enough for her to hear. Slowly she opened the door as it let light into the room which was completely dark. "Ummm Rachel you doing alright? I know the goth vibe is cool, but this is more depressing," she said as I just rolled over now looking at the wall. "I'm...I'm fine," was the hardest thing to say,but I got it out.

Chloe POV:
Taking a deep breath I sat on the bed behind Rachel knowing she probably needed someone. "I'm sorry about how things ended between us. I just couldn't do it anymore Rachel," I said as she shook her head. "It's all my fault Chloe. You should've broke up with me sooner instead of letting me hurt you," she said as I raised a eyebrow. "Rachel you did hurt me,but you also brought a lot of well joy into my life," I said as she chuckled a bit. "Did you ever love me? You clearly have true love with Max,but what we had was it real?" she asked as I nodded. "Yeah Rachel what we had was real," I said closing my eyes. Rachel just nodded as I looked down at my phone seeing the time. "Listen Rachel, I have to go now. Whatever you're dealing with you can overcome it," I said standing up. "Don't be surprised if one day I'm just gone Chloe," she said causing me to sit back down. I texted Max telling her about what Rachel was being like, and letting her know I could be held up. "Kate Marsh. All that stuff I could've prevented," she said as I lowered my phone looking at her. "Wait what do you mean?" I asked sitting up a bit. "I watched Nathan spike her drinks even after I told him not to. Instead of warning her I just didn't say anything," she said as I looked down not knowing what to say. "I caused Kate all that pain, and then I killed whatever feelings you had left for me," she said chuckling a bit as I patted her on the back. "Max text me today saying I had a good heart even after I tried to blackmail her. If I was just thinking straight instead of trying to have some sort of weird three way relationship I could've saved what we had," she said as I stood up slowly. "Rachel, you are putting too much of this on yourself. I have to go now," I said slowly walking to the door. "Chloe whatever I do next don't stop it," Rachel said as I froze knowing that couldn't be good. Finally I walked out of the room shutting the door softly behind me.
