Awkward

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura stood on on the bridge, their meet up place for team 7, waiting for their sensei. As usual, he was late, two hours late.

Naruto stood on the far right while Sakura and Sasuke stood next to each other.

It's been some time since their first real mission and everything seemed to be going alright, well at least that's what it seems like to everyone outside of team seven.

In reality ever since that mission there has been a tension between the genin.

It seemed, to Naruto, like Sakura was scared of him. Which he didn't want to take personally, but he did. He couldn't blame her either, he had slaughtered people right in front of her. So he distanced himself from her because he didn't want her to feel  like she had to be scared everytime they had to meet up.

Naruto, himself, had problems of what he did that day. He had let the bad and depressing thoughts get to him. But that only lasted for a little bit, because as soon as Ino and Shikamaru got word of what Naruto had went through on the mission, they went to his house.

Of course, they knew exactly what he was thinking, somehow, and cheered him up as quickly as they could. They would not let him get depressed again just because he got his first kill, well few kills.

"Every ninja has to kill, you just had to do it a little bit early than the rest of us. At least we all know you won't freeze up when the time comes." Shika told him.

They then ended up having one of their many sleep overs, which helped Naruto sleep peacefully without having nightmares.

He is beyond grateful for them.

Naruto wasn't the only one who had noticed the tension between him and Sakura, Sasuke did too. And to be honest he was over the whole mission thing, well except for the part where he woke up to Naruto touching another person, but that didn't matter.

Sasuke had looked mad at both of his teammates. Which he wasn't, well maybe he was mad at Sakura because she made Naruto walk on eggshells everytime they were together, and it was getting on his nerves. It was obvious that Naruto thought that Sakura was afraid of him and he knew that Sakura was stronger than that.

She wouldn't be scared of him just because he killed people. That's what being a ninja was, ninjas kill people. So it must be another reason why she was distant and awkward around Naruto

It didn't matter who, but someone needed to say something because it was getting way too awkward for the Uchiha.

Sakura was slightly sweating. She knew that she changed her team vibe. She had made it awkward. She knew this but didn't know what to do about it.

She watched her teammate kill a whole group of people and didn't know how to deal with it. Her other teammate and sensei acted like everything was fine and it was normal.

Its not only that though...

She didn't want to admit it, but she knew what she saw that day. How they looked at each other, when she saw them cuddling, and she didn't want to come to terms that her crush loved Naruto. Even if he didn't know it yet, she knew it.

She didn't know how to act around Naruto and it seemed like she created a wedge between all of them.

She then snapped herself out of thoughts by slapping herself. She stood up a little bit straighter and marched to Naruto with a determined look on her face.

Sasuke only raised a eyebrow at her actions while Naruto was visibly shaken by Sakura's quick change of attitude.

When she had finally reached Naruto she raised her head up to look him. Even though Naruto was taller than her, her attitude made her feel just as tall, if not, taller than him.
