We Need Each Other

Kakashi is called upon his duties as Clan Head the very next morning while he's fixing his boys some breakfast.

It's Anbu Mouse who tells him. It's smart of them really, because mouse is the only person in the anbu that he has respect for. Had they sent someone like Snake he simply wouldn't have gone.

And for a trial this serious it's either everyone has to show or the meeting would be withheld until all parties were present .

(It wasn't 'fair' otherwise. But even if, they always find a way to get the outcome they want)

As he waited for the boys to come to eat, Kakashi slowly slipped into a political mindset. He's going to need all the information his late mentor had taught him if he wanted his love back.

Sasuke wakes up to a threatening aura. He eyes activate on reflex and he reaches for something, anything, that could be used as a weapon.

But someone grabs his hand, "Sasuke calm down." It's Naruto. Sasuke turns towards him and Naruto smiles and pulls him close.

"I woke up a bit earlier than you, and I heard someone say something to Kakashi. Then I got the chills and what your feeling right now. It has to be Kakashi, because nobody else is in here."

Sasuke shuttered, "It almost feels like that time when you killed Gato but-"

"It's way worse."

Sasuke sat up and looked at the clock that read 9:05 am. He looked back at Naruto, who was getting out of bed-

Shirtless

Sasuke mouth went a little dry while looking at his official? boyfriend back muscles.

"Why do you think he's so angry?" Naruto asked as he walked into the bathroom leaving the door open.

"Hn."

Naruto placed the toothpaste down and wet his toothbrush, "Yes, Sas, that answered all of my questions." He rolled his eyes as he began brushing.

"......Hn."

"Well, did you sleep good?" Naruto asked as he saw Sasuke yawn and slowly start to get out of the warm covers.

"Hn, my dream was weird. Not a nightmare, though, just weird." Sasuke shuddered as he remembered the feeling of his dream last night.

"Weird how?"

"It was like I was dreaming, but I wasn't? Like it was more of a dreamlike headspace than an actual dream." Sasuke make a frustrated noise and waves his hand. "I don't know how to explain it. Okay, imagine a genjutsu but it being performed by a Hyuga clan member."

"What would be the difference? The chakra or their dojutsu?"

"Their dojutsu. I've heard if they do learn to create genjutsus, which is highly unlikely due to their clan politics, but if they do learn it, it feels different from a regular genjutsu. The some goes for my clan, we're just better at it, of course." Sasuke spit out the toothpaste and rinse his mouth out, turning his body towards Naruto who's finally pulling a shirt over his head.
