Hi everyone! I hope everyone is healthy and is having a pretty good day. If not I hope it gets better.

I haven't uploaded inna good bit. But I've been so indecisive about where I've been going with this series, there just so many options, ya know. There may have some inconsistencies in this story, but please over look them. I'll try to make this story as good and interesting as possible for you guys, so please enjoy! 🤗

It was just a soft whisper, "I'm scared, Itachi." A voice that Kakashi only saved for his love. It was so soft, it could barely be heard over the cicadas that were singing in the moonlight. The words were heavy with a underlying meaning. Both of them have been used by Konoha and tossed aside when they were deemed useless.

Was Kakashi really expected to just hand Itachi over to them without a fight?

To just give up one of the few people he loved?

Just when he got him back?

Kakashi tighten his grip around Itachi, as if he would suddenly vanish.

Itachi fingers paused their path on Kakashi's body. He slowly sat up from where he was laying on Kakashi's chest. He let out a low sigh as he ran his fingers from his sex-tangled hair, pulling out the soft knots. He sat against the wall of their hotel room and looked down at his partner.

He was really lucky, Itachi thought to himself as he looked down at the beautiful man. He and Kakashi fully naked and comfortable in their skin around each other. It still amazes Itachi how much the Kakashi trusts him by letting him see all of him. He still remembers the first time he pulled off his mask in front of him. The bashful look on his face when he asked Itachi for a kiss. Itachi smiles just thinking about it.

"Come here." Itachi softly commands with extended arms, and Kakashi follows it. He slowly sits up next to Itachi and immediately falls into his arms.

"I'm so scared, Itachi" Kakashi whispers voice wobbly.

"I know." Was the only thing Itachi could say.

I am too

"Don't leave." He looked in his lover's powerful eyes. "Not again." He wrapped his arms tight Itachi slender waist.

"I'll try-"

"That's not good enough, Itachi." Kakashi cut him off. "Not anymore."

"You know I can't promise you anything Kashi." Itachi said voice stern.

"I know." Kakashi unwrapped his arms around him and held Itachi pretty face in his hands. He held him softly as if he were delicate, but also had a firm grip so he would take his words seriously. "But this time I won't let you."

Itachi looked confused, "What are you talking about?"

"I let you leave me, thought that you were probably better off without me. Everyone that I was close to, died. I thought that it was only a matter of time before you did, so I was kind of relieved that you only left. That you didn't die, and was still alive.  I was trying to be selfless. But, not anymore.

I'm not going to be selfless anymore. You're mine. I deserve you, don't I? I deserve you, because you said so, remember? So I going to make sure that you get the life you deserve, with me. I'm not letting them rip us apart again." Kakashi spoke with so much emotion that it felt like his voice was unintelligible, but Itachi heard him.
