"Please, allow me to place you under protection." Palpatine said as we walked towards his office.

"Chancellor, I'm happy you worry about me. But I will be fine."

"What if I allowed you to pick? Any clone of your choice to come with you, just please ease my poor heart."

"Fine, Commander Thorn can accompany me." I said with a sigh.

"Perfect, Fox contact Thorn and have him meet Senator (Y/n) at her home." Palpatine ordered.

"Yes sir." Fox said with a nod of his head.

He walked away and I let out a sigh.

"Well, I best get going. I have much to do." I said softly.

"Of course, do be safe."

I nodded my head and walked past him towards my house. When I made it to the front door I saw Thorn waiting outside for me.

"Commander." I said as I sent him a smile.

"Senator." He said with a nod of his head.

I walked past him and walked into my house. He followed me inside and shut the door. I closed my blinds and smiled as I heard him remove his helmet. In an instant I had turned around and grabbed a hold of his face, pulling him into a deep and passionate kiss.

"I take it you missed me." He said as he pulled me closer to his chest.

"Only a little." I said as I hugged him.

"That why you went and got someone to try and kill you?"

"No, that's just cause I'm a senator and people hate to admit I'm right." I said as I looked up at him.

He shook his head and sent me a small smile.

"Sure it is, love." He said as he leaned down and pecked my lips.
