On my way home, ngayon ko lang narealize ang mga ginawa ko kanina.
I must've ruined my image back there when I talked to Cassi, I'm pretty sure I sounded so pissed and even cursed out loud.
But the thing is, I feel better.
It's like... I'm slowly coming out of my shell.
Then I suddenly wondered, what does it feels like when I can finally break the rules my Dad made for me?
Tutal, hindi naman lahat ng rules na binigay niya sa akin ay may kinalaman sa ikabubuti ko.. all of those are connected to protecting this stupid family name.
Pag pasok ko sa bahay, I saw ate Lalaine walking down the stairs meeting my path..
She was about to bump her left shoulder to mine when I mindlessly dodge it and she almost fell.
Narinig ko siyang suminghap dahil sa kaba saka humabol sa lakad ko, I faced her just before she could pull my hair from my back.
"Annoyed? Just because I dodge your bumping plan?" Tanong ko sa kaniya.
"I just wanted to hurt you a little, 'cause you ruins everything."
"Do it. And I'll tell Dad." Sabi ko sa kanya.
"Ha, and you're still thinking that he'll believe you? Hindi ka nga niya pinaniwalaan over the case with Ken." She said, throwing some usual attitude.
So.. Ken is the guy huh.
"Over that fvcking Ken, hindi niya ako pinaniwalaan.. you're right. But if the case is with you-my one and only STEP sister, kahit baliktarin mo man ang mundo.. Dad won't come to your side." I said as if I have the ace, well, I really have it.
"You know why?" I added.
"Because you're not, and you'll never be the FAVORITE." Pag tatapos ko, giving a huge emphasis to the last word.
I left her there dumbfounded, probably shocked to the way I talked and to the pure fact that I spitted right into her face.
Pag pasok ko sa kwarto, I took a nice bath and cleaned myself as a reward for being this brave today.
Until I was called for dinner.
Pag baba ko ay nandoon na silang lahat, we started eating.
The sounds of utensils, Dad and Mom's conversation filled the whole dining room.
Ang atensyon ko ay nasa pagkain lang, trying to make myself eat fastly so I can get back to my room. Pero nakuha ang atensyon nang mag salita si Ate Lalaine.
"Dad, how's the case?" She said, napatingin ako sa kaniya and she just gave me a fast glance.
I rolled my eyes at the back of my head.
"It's all good, you don't have to worry much about that Lalaine.. ang problema lang ay hindi na natin mababawi ang tiwala nila, they end up deciding to stop sponsoring my projects." Dad.
You all heard it right, instead na ang pondo ng bayan ang gagamitin sa project niya like charity events and road projects, binuburaot niya ito thru sponsors.. and of course, act as if the people's money are still not enough.
"Hon, what about we talk to Aviejo's to rise their contribution? Since Nate and Amari's close enough." Ah, my step Mom.. ang isa pang taga sulsol.
"Oh right, that should do it." Pag sang ayon naman ni Dad.
I felt my Dad's glare darted to me when I sighed and dropped my spoon and fork directly to my plate making a noice.
"I be-friended him 'cause he's nice, not to be this family's bank account when it runs out of people to sip on." Words came out of my mouth.
