This is our last night on La Asuncion's Orphanage, Mother Vivian allowed us volunteers to stay up until we wanted except for the kids.

Kaya nag set up kami ng bonfire para mas makilala ang isa't-isa.

Each log, there's 3 people seating in it.

Coreen Yuan Katie

Jane Kurt Carl

Sebastian

All 10 volunteers surrounded the fire.

"Alam nyo na siguro ang balitang ipapatibag itong ampunan?" panimula ni Sebastian.

I can't help but to feel guilty 'cause I still haven't do anything about it yet.

"What?! They can't do that! Saan mapupunta ang mga bata??" apila ni Katie.

"I don't know, siguro hindi naman sila papabayaang magpa laboy-laboy nalang sa kalsada ng La Asuncion." Jane said.

Napa tingin sa akin si Alexus..

All of them doesn't know where I came from except him, since only our preferred name are on the name pin... maybe they didn't also payed attention to the master list.

"Wala naman tayong magagawa, we're still students.. kahit mag protest tayo, still the Mayor will turn a blind eye." Remi.

So.. they know my Dad's thing huh?

Meron parin palang tutol sa kaniya, I totally thought everyone is on his side.

"Please don't take their words seriously." bulong ni Alexus sa akin, akala niya siguro dinadamdam ko iyon.

"To be fair, I want you guys to know that I'm Feniesse Amari Villablanca." Isa isa ko silang tinignan at napa ngiti sa mga reaksyon nito.

"O-omayghad! Totoo?" Remi.

"Sabi na eh! I knew you looked like someone I saw on pictures somewhere." Kurt.

"We didn't mean to badmouth your Dad.." Katie.

"It's okay, I always do that too behind his back." Sabi ko saka napa yuko, that's true, I just get tired through time 'cause no one ever wanted to believe me.

"You what?!" Yuan.

Napansin ko ang katahimikan ni Alexus sa tabi ko, siguro gusto nalang din niyang makinig.

"He's... not the father I used to love anymore so.. if you wanted to bash his things, kunwari nalang ay hindi ninyo kasama ang anak niya." Sabi ko sa kanila.

Nahulog sila sa limang segundong katahimikan bago muling nag salita.

"Ahmm.. for me, it's all about this orphanage lang naman.. kids here still hopes their parents will come back to get them." Seb, he's the most vocal person I've ever met..

He gives off the 'leader' vibes out of all of us.

Hindi ko pa siya nakikita sa school, maybe he's from another university like Katie.

"Kahit ako, ayaw ko din naman malayo sa hometown ko if ever gustuhin ni Mayor na i-transfer nalang sila sa ibang lugar." Sabi ni Carl, and they all agreed to him.

"I plan on pursuing my Dad about this, pero hindi ganon kadali 'yon for sure." Sabi ko.

"If you have ideas, please tell me.. I can give it a try." I added.

"Gaano ba ka sama ang Dad mo? Because all I know is he's a great father to you and you're gonna step on his place soon enough." Coreen.

They all looked interested, they don't seem to doubt any words that I'll say.. and I'm beginning to feel comfortable around them.
