"Y/N, YOU ARE SO DRAMATIC," said JJ. JJ, Emma, and Ben were trying to get Y/n to sit down at the Gryffindor table, like they usually did.
But that day, at the start of their fourth year, Y/n felt like she got weird looks from the Gryffindors. Probably because she earlier told everyone she didn't understand the hype around Harry Potter.
JJ dragged his sister, ignoring the stares they were getting. Emma and Ben walked together as well. They reached the end of the table and all sat, quite far away from everyone else.
Y/n sighed, looking around. Harry was also looking at her. She caught his green eyes, and looked away immediately.
"They all hate me," Y/n huffed, resting her head on the table. "No, they don't," Emma reassured, "They can't hate you, you're awesome." Y/n looked at her best friend, raising an eyebrow. Emma looked nervous – and forced to say that.
"I know you didn't just say that," Y/n furrowed her eyebrows, as she shifted her view to Ben and JJ who were sitting across her. "I mean, did i lie though?" she continued.
"About what?" Ben asked, "About Harry?" Y/n sighed, frowning. She rested her chin on her hand, taking a glance of Harry again – who was still looking at her.
"Yes!" said Y/n, "He didn't do anything to be the boy who lived, he just sat there. What's so special?"
"And he's staring at me weirdly," Y/n complained, "Look, Emma, let's just go over to the Slytherin tab—"
"No!" Emma refused, "I want to be as far from Draco Malfoy as possible."
Y/n wanted that too – but she also didn't want to be sitting at the same table as the Gryffindors, Harry especially.
She slouched, burying her face in her hands.
"Look," JJ started, "Harry's great, i know him, he's cool. Plus, he saved our asses twice. Because guess what, this school is like a death trap."
"I guess," Y/n murmured. "Really nice bloke too, Harry," Ben joined in, "I lost my shoe once and he helped me find it."
JJ wheezed, "Oh mate, sorry, that was me. I hid it, thought it'd be funny."
"Okay, whatever," Emma butted in. She then turned to Y/n, placing a hand on her shoulder, "The boy who lived, hero, shoe finder, whatever. You shouldn't stress about it, Y/n, it's your opinion."
"Except," Ben cleared his throat, "Her opinion is wrong."
