That night, the night just before school started, Harry arrived at the Weasleys, in a rather unusual way. Dumbledore had picked him up, brought him to an old friend's home. Professor Slughorn. Who apparently would rejoin Hogwarts' staff, Dumbledore insisted that he needed him. Slughorn was reluctant, but agreed with a few demands.

He'd also learn a bit more about his mother. Slughorn revealed she was his favourite, and that she was brilliant. Although that was not surprising for Harry.

And after that, Dumbledore apparated Harry to the burrow, where he found his belongings already inside. He walked in, and was greeted with a hug by Ginny, a very warm welcome that he appreciated. Lately, nothing feels kind to him.

He lost Sirius, and Henry, not to mention the news about Y/n and her new boyfriend. If only Harry had just realized his feelings about her sooner, then it wouldn't be this way. And he regretted it. Morning, noon, and night he regretted it.

When they broke the hug, Harry was met with more familiar faces. He saw Mrs Weasley, Ron, Hermione, JJ, Ben... But No Y/n? Emma wasn't there as well, maybe she spent summer with her?

"Harry!" Mrs Weasley shrieked as she hugged him, "What a lovely surprise! Why didn't you let us know you were coming?"

Harry stuttered. He himself had no clue he was going here.  "I didn't know. Dumbledore."

"Oh, that man!" laughed Mrs Weasley, "What would we do without him?"

Harry scanned the room once more, and he finally found her. Y/n was standing in teal pajamas, slippers, and she had her hair loosely braided. It'd been a while since Harry had seen her that way, and he'd missed it.

"Y/n," he blurted as he looked at her. Harry didn't intend to say her name, it just simply fell out of his mouth as if he had no control over it.

"Um, hi," Y/n nervously and awkwardly reply. She was clinging on to an arm. Harry looked to her side and saw Theo Nott, standing beside her, his tall figure towered over her.

Harry didn't expect him to be here. And he wasn't too fond of his presence. He'd been thinking of how he would face the both of them together at school, but not at the burrow too. Not at the place he'd been calling home with his founded family.

Harry didn't feel like Nott should be here, and didn't feel like he belonged here. This place was his family's. And Nott wasn't family. It enraged him that he'd been spending time here, with the people he loved. He seemed to had been snatching everything Harry had. That was the way he looked at it.

"Nott!" he exclaimed, unpleasantly surprised. "You're.. Here."

"Potter," he nodded, "Yeah, I am." Something about his tone set Harry off. It was rather distasteful. It felt like Nott also didn't like Harry being at the burrow. But he has no right to, Harry thought. This is my home, not his, i belong here, he doesn't.

"Oh i see," Harry flashed a fake smile, "What for?"

"You know, just to get to know Y/n's friends and family," he answered. Harry didn't like the way he smiled and wrapped an arm around Y/n, as if he was showing off.

"Oh, getting to know the family and friends," Harry sneered, "You've been dating for how long?"

For a second there was silence. It felt tense to Harry and Nott, and awkward for the others, as they didn't know what to do or what to say.

But after a few moments, JJ clasped his palms together and his hands made a clap sound. "Oh well, isn't this marvelous," he said, smiling down at the others from the high stair steps.
