After back to back Jake Kielly shutouts, the Clarkson Golden Knights return to Glendale to play for the Desert Classic championship against Minnesota-Duluth in the game tonight. With 11:59 left in the first period, Shane Kuzmeski scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-0 Clarkson. With 4:19 left in the first period, Nico Sturm scored his eighth goal of the season to make it 2-0 Golden Knights. Jake Kielly and Hunter Shepard matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-0 Clarkson heading to the second period. With 19:28 left in second period, Parker MacKay scored to make it 2-1 Golden Knights. Kielly and Shepard matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, Clarkson holds a 2-1 lead heading to the second intermission dressing room. With 34 seconds left in the third period, Nico Sturm scored his ninth goal of the season, into an empty net to make it 3-1 Tech! Jake Kielly finished off the Bulldogs and Clarkson wins 3-1! Clarkson improved to 11-6-0 on the season!
